“There’s nothing like something being as good as advertised,” – Mark Jackson on Steph
No more excuses. Steph Curry playing with a sprained ankle is like saying Mahmoud Abdul Rauf played with Tourette Syndrome, Alonzo Mourning playing with a messed up Kidney, Tmac with a lazy eye, Rasheed with an embarrassing spot on his head or Zach Randolph playing with the mentality of a south central gangster looking for Ricky in the early 90s. Steph is used to it. If God allowed him to have two good ankles then it would be like Samson being allowed to go to the salon.
Steph and his Grant Hill ankles has been channeling past greats all year long, breaking records and gaining fans along the way and last night was no different and he scored 29 points, dished out 11 assists, grabbed 6 boards, hit 4 3 pointers and had a pair of back-to-back clutch floaters in the 4th that had the crowd turning into the “We Believe” fans witnessing the downfall of the Mavs or B-Diddy dunking over AK and showing that he has hops despite a gut.
My gut instincts are telling me that Steph’s ankles aren’t going to get any better but that’s not going to stop Curry from being mentioned with the best players in the league over the next few years.
