Who would of thought in the same week that the Lakers announced the NBA’s all-time leading scorer Kareem Abdul Jabbar we would be talking about Stephon Marbury and his statue in China – built because over 1 million people demanded it after he was snubbed of a MVP trophy after leading his team, Beijing Ducks, to a championship.   It’s still ridiculous that foreign players aren’t allowed to win the MVP in China but it’s pretty cool to see the Coney Island native standing next to his statue in China.
