Breaking records and clipboards! Two topics coach Steve Kerr was asked about after the Warriors won their 70th game of the season and are just 3 wins away from breaking his Bulls team record. Why the clipboard? During the game, Kerr lost his cool (or maybe it was just a motivational technique) and sent a marker flying in the air after smacking his clipboard.
“I was upset because we lost our heads,” Kerr said. “I told our guys that the one thing that San Antonio does, is that they execute with poise. They’ve been doing it for 20 years. And if you don’t show that same poise, they’re going to beat you. I thought for the most part we had good poise, good execution, but just completely fell asleep on back-to-back plays. That’s why I broke the clipboard, but I think we have another one in the back.”
Where was this Steve Kerr in this story.
