Still got it! I feel like i’m saying this about Baron Davis every few months. I said it earlier in the year when the then 36-year old put up 8 points, 4 assists and 3 steals in 19 minutes during his D-League debut, which took place 3 years, 9 months and 27 days after his last professional basketball game.  I said it almost exactly a year ago when I watched him put on a show at the Drew League vs Seattle Pro-Am game.  I said after he dropped 44 points a few months earlier at the Drew League. And i’m saying it today, on August 17th of 2016, after watching highlights of him from this past weekend, which included a player of the game performance – 23 points including a 8-0 run by himself in the 4th – for his undefeated BB4L team.

Baron, Stanley Johnson, Terrence Ross and BB4L will be taking on James Harden and the LAUNFD team this Saturday during championship week at the Drew. I’m not going to make any guarantees about the championship but I wouldn’t be surprised if I find myself saying “still got it” in a few days.
