On October 3, Jordan Brand released the all-new CP3.VI which is the sixth signature shoe of Clippers’ All-Star Point Guard, Chris Paul. This is CP’s lightest and most responsive shoe to date and will be great for any consumer looking to fly by defenders on the court. Via Nikeinc.com/ jordan-brand: “A low-cut collar on the JORDAN CP3.VI allows for optimal natural motion through the ankle and features hyperfuse construction on the upper, which creates a nearly seamless, lightweight and breathable shell. In addition, the JORDAN CP3.VI features strategically placed flex grooves on the outsole that enhance flexibility for a more natural motion when making hard cuts, while a compression molded Phylon midsole and Podulon technology in the forefoot provide lightweight support and responsive cushioning during spin moves and sprints down the court.” Basically, the CP3.VI is made for the prototype basketball player.
In addition to the team colorways, Jordan Brand has launched energy colors of the CP3.VI for sneakerheads and basketball fans in Los Angeles. Inspired by the street racing culture of L.A, the “Nitro Pack” features high energy colorways and is only available exclusively in LA on 10/20.
This past Wednesday Jordan Brand was at Cheviot Hills Rec Center with the Jordan Flight Truck filled with CP3.VIs. Everyone from pick-up players to high school kids to grandparents wear-tested the CP3.VIs on the courts. The Flight Truck was busy all night letting everyone try out the shoes during the CP3 Skills Challenge. The Challenge was serious as contestants dribbled, sprinted and passed with precision. The CP3 Team kept track of all the fastest times of the challenge, and the contestants with the quickest time had their names posted up on the leaderboard. One lucky winner went home with a new pair of the “Nitro Pack” CP3.VIs. The atmosphere was bumping with music playing all night, pickup games going on, and everyone talking about the new kicks from Chris Paul. The experience was truly amazing for consumers as they got a taste of what it’s like to play like CP.
The Flight Truck will be touring all over Los Angeles this month going from different high schools and top pick-up spots letting anyone who wants to try the shoes out for a test drive. The next couple spots for the Flight Truck will be Mid-City this Saturday at Pan Pacific Park and then Sunday where they’ll be going to local retail shops WSS (Wilshire Blvd.) and UNDFTD (on Sunset in Silverlake). Come find the Flight Truck this weekend and see how fast you can run through the CP3 Challenge for a chance to win a pair new CP3.VIs and other cool Jordan prizes.
