With D’Angelo Russell and Julius Randle sitting out, Swaggy P and his hurt toe made their return on Sunday and stepped up big in the Lakers’ win over the Hawks. Young scored 12 of his 17 in the 2nd quarter, which included a crossover and jumper over Kyle Korver followed by a three and a foul on Kent Bazemore. The Lakers outscored the Hawks 35-16 in the period.
Lou Williams also stepped up big, scoring 13 of his 21 points in the 4th quarter. His 137 4th quarter points this season is 3rd in the league, trailing only Russell Westbrook and Damian Lillard.
