2 nights ago we saw Glen Rice Jr put a game into OT with a tip dunk at the buzzer and last night it was Tim Hardaway Jr that hit a game winning jumper at the end of the Knicks/Celtics preseason game.
The original king of the crossover with “Skillz” had a great courtside seat to play Proud Dad and watch his son show off his “Skillz” in the 4th quarter. Jr scored 10 of his 16 points in the final session including a jumper to seal the 103-102 win for the Knicks.
“Sometimes a stat doesn’t show what a guy has in him. There’s no stat for what’s in his heart,” World Peace said of Hardaway. “First game and he wanted it bad. I’m pretty sure that you’re going to see a lot of big shots like that for him.”
In the 90s, Hardaway was a Celtics and Knicks killer and here’s a couple examples. The first is a 43 point performance against Reggie Lewis and the Celtics in 1992 followed by a 38 point stat stuffing monster game in game 7 of the 97 NBA playoffs vs the Knicks.
