No, No, No. Not in the house of Tony Allen!
Dwight Howard isn’t having the best week. After playing in one of the ugliest games of all-time where Dwight had to listen to Kevin Durant call him a “P@$$%”, the Rockets took on and got destroyed by the Memphis Grizzlies last night.
“They just beat the hell out of us,” Rockets coach Kevin McHale said after the 93-119 loss.
Beat and embarrassed and they can thank Tony Allen and his defense for much of that. Allen’s defense helped hold James Harden to 1 of 8 shooting and contributed to the defensive play of the game when he swatted a shot by Dwight Howard and then did the Dikembe Mutombo finger wag.
I’m not saying this play by Allen is as nice as the following Jordan clip but seeing Dwight spin and get blocked by a flying Allen did remind me of this MJ block on Ewing.
Also worth celebrating for Allen and Grizzlies fans is the fact that the Grizzlies 10-1 start is the best start in franchise history.
