After missing 5-of-6 from from three in his college debut on Sunday, Oklahoma’s Trae Young bounced back and knocked down 5-of-10 from three, including a few heat checks, during a 39-point beatdown on Ball State.

“Bounce back” probably wasn’t the right thing to say because the freshman phenom did finish with 15 points, 10 assists, 6 boards, 2 blocks and 2 steals in his debut; he just didn’t light it up from three like he did in so many of our high school videos. On Wednesday, Young looked like the kid that used to bow to crowds after hitting a game-winner on the opposing team’s court, finishing with 22 points, 13 assists, 3 boards, 2 steals in just 26 minutes. Also worth praising, is he only turned the ball over a total of 5 times in the two wins.
