The sellout crowd was at the 76ers vs Wizards game to watch Iverson’s #3 go into the rafters and ended up seeing alot of 3 pointers going into the bucket from Trevor Ariza.
Ariza made 8 3-pointer on his way to a career high 40. 6 of those 8 came during a 24 point explosion in the first quarter. This comes just a month after he exploded for 7 3-pointers in 1 quarter against the Rockets.
Congrats if you drafted this guy or picked him up for your fantasy team. He’s been one of the best steals of the year.
After the game, Ariza also talked about one of his childhood favorite players – Iverson.
“What he brought to the game made me love the game the way I love it,” he said. “He was amazing for a lot of years and he definitely changed the culture of the NBA. This was his night and, I guess, that’s definitely a thanks for all the things he’s done throughout my life and my career.
