On Saturday, we were raving about Tyler Ulis after he scored a career-high 14 points and dished out 7 assists in the Suns win against Westbrook and the Thunder.
On Sunday, the 5’9 2nd round pick (I called him the steal of the draft on draft night) faced off against Isaiah Thomas and set a new career-high with 20 points, dished out 5 assists and ended up being the hero of the night.
“I figured it would come down to me having to take a late shot,” Ulis said about the final shot of the game. “Not like that, you know, off the steal, but I just shot it with confidence.”
The game-winner gave the Suns their first three-game win streak of the season.
Earlier in the game, Ulis and Thomas also participated in the unofficial shortest jump-ball ever.
