Elite 24 Highlights: Jennings participated in the first two Elite 24s at historic Rucker Park in Harlem. He set the tone for the event with his flashy open court play. He had 15 assists in the first game in 2006 and came back to break his own record with 23 assists in the 2007 game to cop MVP honors. It’s an Elite 24 record that is likely to stand the test of time.
Post Elite 24: Jennings set Oak Hill scoring records for 3-pointers in a game (13), points in a game (63), points in a season (1,312), points in a career (1,927) and single-season scoring average (35.5) as a senior in 2007-08 when he was named 2008 Mr. Basketball USA national player of the year. On July 16, 2008, he signed with Lottomatica Roma of the Italian Serie A, forgoing college to play professional ball for a year before entering the 2009 NBA Draft.
