Elite 24 Highlights: After scoring 11 points and dishing out four assists in the 2012 game in Venice Beach, Calif., Mudiay showed why he was arguably the nation’s top player for the 2013-14 season in the 2013 game played at DUMBO. Behind his 22 points, it came back within three points of Team Coney Island before losing 114-109.
Post Elite 24: Mudiay announced he’d play for Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown at SMU during halftime of the 2013 ESPNU telecast, but he eventually opted to sign with the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association out of high school. One year later, he was the No. 7 pick of the 2015 NBA Draft.
