Elite 24 Highlights: In arguably the most exciting Elite 24 game ever, Walker was on the losing end of the “Goat” squad defeating the “Skip” squad, 169-164. He made 7-of-8 field goals, good for 16 points, and finished with three assists.
Post Elite 24: A 2008 high school All-American, Walker played three years at UConn. It all came together for Walker in 2010-11, as he was the nation’s leading scorer for much of the season and went on to earn consensus first team All-American honors. He also earned the Bob Cousy award as the nation’s best point guard and capped off the season by scoring 16 points in the NCAA title game win over Butler. He left for the NBA after his junior season and was the No. 9 pick of the 2011 NBA Draft.
