Elite 24 Highlights: When he decided to play in the first Elite 24, most of the nation’s other top players followed suit to help legitimize the outdoor event. Love was not only a trailblazer, but also a unique talent. He finished with 13 points and five rebounds in his team’s two-point loss.
Post Elite 24: Finished his high school career as Oregon’s all-time leading scorer (2,628 points) and was named national player of the year by many publications, including USA Today. He lived up to the hype in his only college season, earning consensus first team All-American honors and Pac- 10 Player of the Year. The No. 5 pick of the 2008 NBA Draft, Love is a three-time NBA All-Star.
