Elite 24 Highlights: Played in the 2009 game at Gauchos Gym in the Bronx, which tipped off late at night after rain moved it from Rucker Park. Irving finished with 16 points, three steals and three assists, but his Goat team fell to the Skip team, 133-120.
Post Elite 24: Helped St. Patrick to a 24-3 record and No. 6 FAB 50 national ranking as senior before earning co-MVP honors at the 2010 Jordan Brand Classic with fellow Elite 24 alumnus Harrison Barnes. Despite playing in only 11 games as a freshman at Duke, Irving was the No. 1 pick of the 2011 NBA Draft. He was named 2012 NBA Rookie of the Year and is teaming up with LeBron James in the quest to bring the Cleveland Cavaliers their first NBA championship.
