Stop saying Vince Carter is “turning back the hands of time” every time he dunks on someone

Here we go again. It’s time for the weekly “Vintage” Vince Carter is “turning the back the hands of time” posts. It seems like every week 37 year old Vince Carter will do something and people will go overboard and say he’s manipulating time or reminding them of when he was the most exciting thing on Sportscenter from 1998-2001.
Let’s take a look at his dunk on Jusuf Nurkic last night. It was a good dunk but was it really that special? Was it more impressive than his dunk on 7’2 Rudy Gobert? Do you remember that time when he dunked on the 7’2 french guy? It was just 2 weeks ago! And that dunk was 14 years after his famous lipton dunk on the 7’2 Fred Weis. What I’m getting at is he’s still dunking on 23 year olds like he was when he was 23.
Just in the past year we have seen Vince Carter hit circus shots, dunk on multiple people (like Robin Lopez), block centers, grab a rebound like Dennis Rodman and hit a game-winning 3-pointer in the playoffs. I’m sorry but I’m just not willing to act like what Vince Carter is doing is that surprising when he continues to do it.
