93 seconds into the Warriors loss to the Wizards on Tuesday, Kevin Durant suffered a hyper-extended left knee injury after teammate Zaza Pachulia fell into him.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, KD took a MRI late Tuesday night and the Warriors fear the injury could possibly sideline him for the rest of the season.

The Golden State Warriors are bracing for the possibility that All-Star forward Kevin Durant could be lost for the rest of the regular season – or perhaps longer – with a left knee injury, league sources told The Vertical.

ESPN is also reporting the Warriors will sign Matt Barnes for the rest of the season. Barnes was a member of the “We Believe” Warriors back in 07.

UPDATES (3.1.17): Kevin Durant is out indefinitely with Grade 2 MCL sprain and tibial bone bruise. He will be re-evaluated in 4 weeks.
