On this date (March 10th) in 1987, Magic Johnson put on a passing clinic with 20 fancy assists in 28 minutes vs the Denver Nuggets. A few of those assists went to Byron Scott. On this date (today in 2015), Byron Scott coached his 1000th game and thanks to the playmaking of Jeremy Lin, Clarkson and Wayne Ellington, the Lakers were able to snap a 5-game losing skid and assist Scott with a win.

Ellington also had a Magic Johnson-like assist near the end of the first half when he threw a no-look behind the back of Andre Drummond pass to Tarik Black.
