One point! James Harden only needed one point to tie Calvin Murphy’s 39-year-old franchise record of 57 points. Considering The Beard was so hot against the Utah Jazz on Sunday that he only needed 35 minutes and 25 shots to rack up a career-high 56 points to go with his 13 assists, he probably would have broke Murphy’s record and hit 60 with just another minute on the court.
The performance from fantasy basketball heaven was Harden’s third 50 & 10 in the past year, tying him with Westbrook for the most 50 & 10 games over the past 30 seasons. Let’s see how well his latest 50 & 10 compares to his previous two.

WHICH 50 & 10 WAS THE MOST IMPRESSIVE?
His performance against the Jazz was his most efficient game but the most impressive of the three is easily his 53/16/17 against the Knicks. The 53 points, 17 assists and 9 threes were all career-highs and it was the first 50/15/15 game in NBA history. The 53 also tied Wilt for most points ever scored in a triple-double. And the cherry on top was this game happened on the final day of a year, giving Rockets’ fans one of the best New Year’s eve gifts ever (we don’t have to talk about how the season ended).
It was only fitting that he dressed like this after his heavenly performance…
And New York city had to deal with Mariah Carey’s awful New Year’s Eve performance after the loss.
