Gatorade Athlete of the Year, future JayHawk and probably #1 pick in the NBA draft talked with ESNEWS about pressure, Kansas, what player he would like to play 1-on-1 with and his destination of choice when he makes it to the league.

When asked about what player he would like to play 1-on-1 with he said Kobe Bryant because “he’s the closest thing to Michael Jordan and Jordan is the greatest of all-time.”  When the reporter followed up by asking what he would like to say to Kobe if Kobe was listening, Wiggins just smiled and said “I’m a big fan.”

Surprisingly when asked who his favorite player of all-time was he answered with the Answer – Allen Iverson.   Too bad he was only 6 years old when Iverson was dropping 50 point games in the playoffs against the Raptors.

What wasn’t a big surprise is hearing the 18 year old Canadian say he would like to play for the Toronto Raptors.   It’s not often Raptor fans get to hear a future franchise player say they want to play for Toronto.  I think the last time that happened is when Hakeem decided to play his 18th season in Toronto – but that was more about money and issues with Les Alexander than anything in Toronto.
