Tony Parker was the only player on the Spurs that played more than 30 minutes in the 22 point beatdown of the Grizzlies in Game 1.
It seemed like every Spur (Leonard, Green, Bonner) was on fire from downtown or making great plays (Parker) and circus shots (Blair). It didn’t matter that Duncan only scored 6 points especially when that was 4 more than the Griz’s Zach Randolph.
Z-Bo even issued an apology after the game but I’ll offer an excuse for him (look at the pic above).
“It’s just one of them nights, first game of the series for me,” Randolph said. “It was just the rhythm of the game. … But I’ve got to be better. Like I told my teammates, I’ve got to be better for them and we’ve got to be better as a group.”
