I can’t believe ESPN really had the nerve to create this comparison graphic.   Age shouldn’t be relevant when making a comparison of success by a certain stage in a players’s career especially when you are comparing players that came out of high school, like LeBron, with players that played 3 years of college, like MJ who won a John Wooden Award, Naismith Awards & a NCAA Championship.

The comparison should be MJ vs LeBron in their 9th seasons. Now we can update Jordan’s graph to show 3 rings, 3 finals MVPs and 2 MVP awards.

If you want to talk about off the court accomplishments like endorsement deals then you could point out to the big contracts LeBron has with Nike, Gatorade, Upper Deck & McDonalds but then you would have to say LeBron wouldn’t have those deals if Jordan wouldn’t of helped make those companies (Nike, Gatorade & Upper Deck specifically) what they are now.

The last comparison is by Jordan’s 9th season everybody was signing “I wanna be like Mike” and LeBron, although loved by millions, is the most hated man in basketball.
