Zach LaVine’s childhood idol was Kobe Bryant and last month he had the honor of facing off against his idol and scoring a career-high 28 points in 26 minutes.

Last night, LaVine had the honor of giving Kobe a hug at half-court after Bryant hit 2 free throws and passed Michael Jordan for 3rd place on the all-time scoring list.

Zach did struggle in this game, only scoring 10 points on 4 of 15 shooting, but I’m sure this night will be a night he will always remember.
