During his 39-year career as a sports writer in Southern Nevada, W.G. Ramirez has spent the better part of 31 years involved in the sports-betting media industry. From television to radio to writing, Willie entrenched himself in an industry long before it became a part of the mainstream.
Willie - who remains a Southern Nevada correspondent for AP, in addition to working with numerous media vendors as an accomplished freelance writer - debuted on The Stardust Line in 1993, made his first television appearance as a panelist on Gameday Report in 1994 and began writing sports-betting analysis in 2001.
Willie was also a senior columnist for Gaming Today for two years, from February 2019 through February 2021, writing weekly NFL and MLB columns.
Writing for several leading sports-betting advisory services for nearly 25 years, Willie has been an on-air personality for ESPN Las Vegas, serving as a co-host on Cofield and Company, with frequent sports-betting segments on each show. During the football season, he's also served as host of the NFL Sunday Preview Show live at the Westgate sports book.
