Today is the final time this year that we will have four MLB games on the same day. One, two, three, four Division Series games are on the broadcast schedule:
Our Playoff Betting ledger shows that I am up $90 on postseason betting as we approach the end of the Division Series round. Positive funds are good, yes?
Today I am selecting one bet for each of the four playoff games. Odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook.

Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees (GETTY IMAGES)
Thank you, Aaron Judge. His three-run home run that clanged off the left field foul (fair) pole in Game 3 helped save the season for the Yanks. It seems like Judge and Judge alone among the Bombers, is highly interested in winning this series.
Tonight the matchup is Louis Varland for the Jays vs sudden-darling Cam Schlittler. The new, fresh-faced, lean pitching ace for the Yankees holds the hopes of Yankee fans in his pitching hand. Last week against Boston, Schlittler tossed eight shutout innings. He's made only 15 big league starts, but the stage of the PS doesn't seem to faze him.
Or will it? The Blue Jays have a deeper, tougher lineup. And the Blue Jays are a much superior team.
Which is why I like Schlittler to struggle against TOR on Wednesday. Toronto's offense recorded the second-fewest strikeouts in baseball. They make contact, and present a challenge for Cam.
Baseball has now emulated hockey and basketball: basically there are two seasons, the regular season and the playoffs. The MLB postseason is so long and so difficult, with best-of-three and best-of-five series, that it's tough to be successful.
The Dodgers are cracking the code. The organization sets their roster up to win what they need in the regular season (just get in, baby). Then it pivots to all-in mode for the postseason. The Dodgers have looked formidable so far in four playoff wins.
The Dodgers have generational stars who make big plays. In Game Two against the Phils, Mookie Betts pulled off a perfect wheel play on a bunt attempt. A few moments later, Freddie Freeman made a play at first base to secure an errant throw, ensuring a victory.
LA has not lost a game in more than two weeks (September 23). The pitching staff, defense, and offense are working in harmony. This is synergy on the diamond.
The Dodgers will finish off the Phils tonight, ending the season for a team that once felt it had a chance to be World Series champions.
Errors, base running mistakes, and strikeouts with runners in scoring position: that's the story so far for the Cubs in this sad showing against the Brewers.
It's apparent: the Brewers have an answer for everything the Cubs try to do. Milwaukee is better at catching the baseball, turning double plays, and its bullpen is dominant. If there is one way the Brewers could dethrone the Dodgers, it's the relief corps.
On Wednesday I like the Cubs to put up a few more runs than the three we've seen in Games 1 and 2. The Cubbies are facing Quinn Priester, which sounds like a law firm rather than a pitcher.
Expect plenty of crooked numbers in this game, which Milwaukee probably finds a way to win. But the Cubs will get a great effort from the intense Pete Crow-Armstrong. In the regular season, PCA had 72 extra-base hits. So far in the postseason, zero. I look for that to change, and I'm hopping on the player props market to win some cash with this bet for MIL/CHC:
Worry not, Detroit sports fans. The Lions play again in four days.
The Tigers' offense isn't weak. It would have to improve to be weak. Riley Greene can't hit a slider. He can't lay off pitches in the dirt. Then there's Zach McKinstry, who is 1-for-19 in these playoffs. The Detroit offense is averaging three runs per game in the postseason. Which means their pitching staff needs to be like the actual Cy Young to stay in games.
The Mariners have seven players in their lineup that are better hitters than the best Detroit batter. The M's hit three home runs on a soggy, overcast Tuesday. There's little reason to think that power surge will fade.
Casey Mize was removed from his playoff start against Cleveland last week because he hung a pitch and allowed a home run. Mize allowed 21 jacks this season. I think we'll see at least one more on Wednesday.
