Did you sleep well? If you're a baseball fan, you may be forgiven for weariness today. Last night the Blue Jays and Dodgers battled for a record-tying 18 innings in Game Three of the World Series.
In the end, it was like a flashback: Freddie Freeman hit a walk off home run to win Game Three, just like he did in the 2024 Fall Classic. It just took much longer this year.
Dodger fans can grab their Freddie Freeman Halloween costumes. It's that time of year. Or maybe the choice will be an Ohtani mask and a #17 LA jersey. The Dodger superstar added to his legend last night (early this morning). He got on base nine times: four hits and five walks. That's a record for any postseason game, and it ties the MLB record for any game, regular season included.

What can we expect from Ohtani tonight? It seems anything is possible.
Our game picks and bets for Game 4 of the World Series are based on odds from BetMGM Sportsbook. So far this postseason, I'm up four units ($400) in my wagering picks.
Pause to reflect on Game Three, an epic contest that saw 19 pitchers, 609 pitches, 37 runners left on base, seven runners thrown out on the bases, 29 strikeouts, and (amazingly) zero double plays.
This was a game for the ages. A game that took ages. The star was once again the great Shohei Ohtani.
Consider the records that the Game 4 starting pitcher set in Game 3:
The right-handed Japanese pitcher/designated hitter takes the ball for Game 4. The broadcast info is:
PREDICTION: Dodgers 4, Blue Jays 3 (11 innings)
Fatigue will be on display on Tuesday evening at Dodger Stadium. Bank on Ohtani to go shorter than he did in the NLCS.
Wager $100 to win $124 if Shohei Ohtani records fewer than 17.5 Outs
Find the HR / Moneyline parlays in the BetMGM app under Batter Props. I like how hard Smith is hitting the baseball (second-highest exit velocity on the Dodgers this postseason).
I'll submit a ticket for $20 on Smith HR + LAD win at +600 odds. That means I can win $120.
We've seen 11 home runs in this series through three games. Eight have been solo home runs. More of the same on tap tonight: it's difficult to get men on base in the postseason.
I'm going with a full unit ($100 for my budget) on this game prop. Odds are from BetMGM.
PRO TIP: Always be sure to check multiple sports betting apps for odds. Shop around to get the best odds on Game Props. You may find something more advantageous at DraftKings or FanDuel, for example.
The Blue Jays are happy to have Bichette back in the lineup following an injury that kept him on the Injured List for more than a month.
Bichette is hitting well in this series: 3-for-7 against Dodger pitching. Only Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Addison Barger are hitting the ball harder, according to exit velo stats from StatCast.
I like $50 to win $130 (at +260 odds) if Bichette records at least two hits in Game 4 at Chavez Ravine.
