Football betting sites come in huge supply, especially as more sites legalize online sports betting. Football betting becomes the emphasis of all online sportsbooks when the season rolls around.
Here at Ballislife, we’ll supply information such as the top online sportsbooks, one of our favorites, the various betting markets, and more below.
In the United States, football is one of the most popular sports to bet on. Because of that, football betting websites around the country will do all they can to attract new players.
However, some hit the mark more than others.
When determining if a platform is one of the top football betting sites, you’ll want to find a site with a solid welcome bonus, promotions for existing players, a great mobile app, excellent customer support, and various ways to engage with online football gambling. The more betting options available, the better, giving players more opportunities to bet on their favorite teams.
Below, we’ll look at one of our favorite football betting sites, online football betting markets, and more.
At SI Sportsbook, you’ll have multiple ways to participate in football betting,
In addition to the typical moneyline, point spread, and totals wagers, you can create parlays, Same Game Parlays, futures wagers, and player props.
With player props, multiple options are available, including player rushing, receiving, passing yards, and much more.
SI Sportsbook has two offers that you can directly use for football betting.
First, the welcome bonus. When you bet $20 or more on a contest with minimum odds of +120, you’ll receive $200 in free bets.
Next up, you can receive upward of $150 in free bets during the NFL playoffs when you bet a qualifying amount of Same Game Parlays with minimum odds of +300.
When you launch the SI Sportsbook mobile app, you’ll find the links to log in/register along with a collapsible menu at the top of the app.
The collapsible menu opens on the left side of the app, and has links to promotions, live betting, the various sports betting markets, Perfect 10 game, help center, and more.
Back on the homepage, you’ll see a menu with links to all of the available sports, live betting, and right below this, a carousel-like menu advertising the promotions/bonuses.
As you continue to scroll down the app, you’ll see the featured games, which are the most “hyped up” upcoming games.
Along the bottom of the app is another menu that you’ll have access to regardless of the page you’re on. This has links to the homepage, live betting, search option, and promotions.
As you’ll see above in the SI Sportsbook overview, there are numerous ways to participate in football betting.
You may not be aware of what those bet types are, though, so we’ll cover what they are and provide examples.
Suppose you’re interested in making a moneyline wager. In that case, you’ll only need to determine what team you think will win the game outright.
The problem with moneyline bets is that the odds can differ depending on what teams are playing.
For example, if the Kansas City Chiefs played the Houston Texans, they could be -550, meaning you’ll need to wager $550 to win $100.
Where the moneyline is betting on what team you think will win outright, the point spread accounts for the gap in power between the two teams.
Using the Chiefs and Texans example, say the Chiefs are -14.5—this means they must win the game outright by at least 15 points. In contrast, the Texans would be +14.5 and would cover the spread if they won outright or lost by no more than 14 points.
Since the point spread tries to make teams equal, the odds for each team are at or around -110 for each side.
The total, also known as the over/under, is a bet you make when you want to project the combined number of points scored in the game.
This wager will have a combined points line, and you’ll wager whether it’ll go over or under that line. Like the point spread, the odds for each side are at or around -110.
For example, the Chiefs and Texans have a total of 45.5 points, and you’ll wager whether they’ll combine for more or less than that.
If you’ve ever forgotten to wager on a game before it starts or want to see how the game goes before betting, live betting gives you the option to jump in on the action and make wagers based on whatever is actively happening in the game.
There are multiple ways to do live betting, including the moneyline, point spread, totals, parlays, and more.
However, with live betting, the odds shift and change as each play happens, so you’ll want to be somewhat quick on your feet to decide before a major play occurs.

Now that we’ve covered some of the top football betting sites and the betting markets, you may be wondering how football betting actually works.
Below, we’ll go over how to place a bet and some strategies to set you up for success when betting.
As seen with the SI Sportsbook welcome bonus and NFL-based offer, there are promotions available that you can utilize to increase your bet size and potentially win more money.
For example, with the welcome bonus, you’ll get $200 in free bets for betting just $20, which allows you to use $200 in free credits, essentially, to make some money.
When looking at the point spread or totals, you can monitor the betting lines to get an idea of where things might go.
If both sides are -110, you can confidently wager either side, but when you see -105 or -115, this could indicate that the point spread will change depending on who has what line.
So, if a team that’s -14.5 is -105, this could go to -15. If it’s -115, it could go to an even -14.
If you did make a bet on a game before it started, you could leverage live betting to assist in hedging your bets if your pregame wager is headed for a loss.
For example, if you bet $110 on a point spread with -110 odds and that team begins to lose by more, you can then look at the betting odds for the point spread in live betting and calculate how much you need to wager to potentially limit losses.
There are few betting markets more exciting than football betting. Sportsbooks always expect an influx of new players when the season rolls around, which could lead to more innovative welcome bonuses and existing player promotions. This is a time for you to slide in and take advantage to win more money than you expected.
