2026 WNBA All-Star Game: Best Bets, Odds & Predictions

Key Points
  • Team Spoon is laying -3.5 points to Team Coop in Saturday's WNBA All-Star Game, while the total is sitting at 275.5 points.
  • Kelsey Mitchell ranks third in the WNBA in scoring with 23.3 points per game, and third in 3-point field goals made per game (2.7). Can she score more than 20 points tonight?
  • A'ja Wilson has made at least one 3-pointer in 15 of the 24 games she's played in this season. A few 3-pointers could lead the four-time MVP to her first-ever All-Star MVP.

WNBA rookie Azzi Fudd's victory in the 3-point Shootout meant much more than wearing the long-range crown until next July; she's proven she can survive the first night of All-Star Weekend with the StudBudz and perform the next day.

Now it's time to find out which All-Stars can survive a couple of nights of flex in Chi-town, as the celebration of 30 years with past, present and future WNBA All-Stars continues Saturday.

A'ja Wilson and Caitlin Clark headline Team Spoon with coach Cheryl Reeve drawing up the plays, while Breanna Stewart and Paige Bueckers will guide Team Coop with coach Becky Hammon holding the clipboard.

2026 WNBA All-Star Game Best Bets

The interesting dynamic for this game could come down to which sharpshooter will be gunning for the victory in the fourth quarter: Olivia Miles or Jackie Young. I isolate those two because Miles is playing for her coach, Reeve, and Young is playing for her coach, Hammon.

The sleeper in this whole lot of them — from both teams — might be Washington Mystics guard Sonia Citron, who is the type of player Hammon will encourage to shoot every time she touches the ball.

My best bets surround two prop plays and the fourth-quarter total, but if you're looking for an opinion on one side, I want the underdog with Team Coop (+3.5). This game is supposed to be fun, but Hammon is far too competitive to treat this as a showcase of talent and will be strategizing for the win.

With Defensive Player of the Year frontrunner Gabby Williams on the roster, and rebounding queen Angel Reese in the paint, I lean toward the dog.

Now, here are my top three plays from tonight's game (Odds via FanDuel):

Kelsey Mitchell to score 20+ points (+132)

I was inside Michelob Ultra Arena the year Erica Wheeler made her All-Star debut in 2019 and scored 25 points to lead Team Wilson to a 129-126 win over Team Delle Donne. It was an emotional day for Wheeler, and a bit of a reckoning. Wheeler played for the Fever that season. Tonight, I expect another Fever guard to rise to the occasion, while potentially challenging for MVP honors.

Though her teammates and others in the league give her the respect she deserves, the value of Kelsey Mitchell is oft-overlooked by Caitlin Clark's presence. Now they're on opposite squads, and, as mentioned, Hammon loves sharpshooters.

An All-Star for the fourth consecutive season, Mitchell is in the starting lineup for the first time. She'll enter the second half of the season ranked third in the WNBA in scoring (23.3 ppg) and third in 3-point field goals made (2.7 per game). Mitchell, the Fever's all-time leading scorer, has scored 20 or more points in 19 of 27 games this season.

A'ja Wilson to record 2+ 3-pointers (+182)

Mark my words, when her career ends we will be saying that we've never seen anyone like A'ja Wilson in the history of the league. This is someone who has added something to her arsenal every offseason, and that includes a lethal 3-point shot a couple of years back.

And in a game where anything goes, there is nobody except Wilson who would dare to play the role of long-range gunner — especially in opposing her teammate, Clark, and coach, Hammon. Wilson has drained at least one 3-pointer in 15 of the 24 games she's played this season. But that's not always part of the game plan during the regular season.

In an exhibition where she's got teammates like Aliyah Boston, Jonquel Jones and Nneka Ogwumike, this is the perfect opportunity to see Wilson step to the perimeter and show off. Oh, and by the way, you know the one thing the four-time WNBA MVP, two-time WNBA Finals MVP and eight-time All-Star doesn't have? An All-Star Game MVP. A few 3-pointers (maybe one at the buzzer?) could help lock that up if Team Spoon wins the game.

4th Quarter Over 70.5 points (-113)

Back to my conversation about the dynamics of Reeve with Miles and Hammon with Young, this is where those two gunners come into play. Can you imagine Miles and Young exchanging long-range 3-pointers in a down-to-the-wire shootout?

Then consider this: albeit I'm pointing out regular-season situations with the roles these players play, seven of the top 12 fourth-quarter scorers will be playing in this game, from Paige Bueckers (6.7 points per 4Q) to Allisha Gray (5.4), there are plenty of snipers who thrive over the final 10 minutes of a game. It ties in nicely with the fact Reeve's Lynx lead the league with a .419 3-point shooting clip in the fourth quarter.

The game total is 276.5 points, so asking for 25.3 percent of that in the final quarter is a modest request with the cast of talent from both rosters. Bombs away over the final 10 minutes, as the fourth quarter will land north of the total.
