Fresh off its nail-biting 88-87 victory over the Indiana Fever on Sunday, the Chicago Sky hopes to continue its winning momentum when it takes on a loaded Las Vegas Aces team on Friday, June 27, 2024 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
Down by as much as 15 in the first half, the Sky went on a spirited comeback in the fourth quarter behind the stellar exploits of rookie sensation Angel Reese to turn back Indiana and grab their sixth victory of the season. R
The Sky looks to build on that win when it locks horns with an Aces team that is also seeking for its third straight win. Las Vegas is coming off a dominant 85-74 win over title contenders Connecticut Sun.
Both teams have yet to face one another this season but the Aces come as the favorites as per the latest Las Vegas vs. Chicago Sky betting lines. While the question on who picks up their third straight victory remains to be seen, let’s look at how the betting odds currently stand.

Chicago Sky Injury Report
Two-time defending champions Las Vegas Aces have been struggling to string wins this season but they finally have managed to do so in their past two outings with double-digit victories against the Seattle Storm and the top-seed Connecticut Sun.
The Aces look to make it three straight when it takes on a Chicago team they fairly dominated in the past.
Las Vegas also has a positive record on the road this season, winning three of their five games with their only losses coming at the hands of the Los Angeles Sparks and the Atlanta Dream.
With the Aces nearly having a full deck of cards in their upcoming game and taking into account their history against the Sky, backing them to cover the -9 spread at -110 is something worth considering.
The Chicago Sky is in high spirits heading into their game against the Aces following a massive comeback win against the Indiana Fever on Sunday. Like the Aces, they are also on a two-game win streak and will look to make it three in a row in front of their home fans.
For them to do so, however, Chicago will need rookies Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso to replicate their performances last Sunday.
Chicago heads into the game as nine point underdogs considering they haven’t won against the Aces in their past six meetings. But the past is in the past and the Sky now has capable players to put a body on league top-scorer A’ja Wilson. An exciting matchup to look forward to in this game is between Wilson and Reese.
The Sky also has plenty of depth across their lineup with four players averaging in double figures this season.
Chicago is also a pesky team on defense, placing in the top five in both rebounds and steals which means they have the tools to slow down a well-oiled offensive machine like the Aces.
While Chicago does not have the most encouraging ATS record this year, they are facing a team that is currently on an adjustment period following the comeback of Chelsea Gray.
Taking that into account and the Aces’ dismal ATS record, it would not be far-fetched to see the Sky cover the +9 spread at -110.
The Las Vegas Aces are just a different team with point guard Chelsea Gray back in the lineup. Having someone back who can orchestrate the offense can really change the complexion of the game as shown in the Aces past two victories.
Going for the under is another play to consider. While the Aces can string points in good succession, the Chicago Sky does have enough defensive firepower to keep this ball-game from going up-tempo. One thing of note is their past two games had totals of 162 and 146 points, respectively.
