Unrivaled recently completed its first four-team trade of the year, and now Reese is the latest star to re-sign. A core member of the inaugural Rose BC championship team, can they go back-to-back?
Co-founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, Unrivaled is a three-on-three women's professional basketball league mainly stationed in Miami. A league designed for the players, by the players—Unrivaled will conclude its season on Mar. 4.
Now in its second season, Unrivaled added two new clubs, bringing the total to eight. Including 48 players and a developmental pool, the league has exploded in popularity. After making a pitstop in Philadelphia, Unrivaled will head to Brooklyn where it will play the semifinals at Barclays Center.
While the details of Reese's contract are unclear, Rose BC did part ways with forward Azurá Stevens in the trade. Gaining zero players in return left fans speculating that Reese would circle back. Turns out, they were right.
Unrivaled is headlined by some of the premier names in women's basketball: Stewart, Collier (hurt), Paige Bueckers, Reese, Chelsea Gray, Allisha Gray, Kelsey Plum, Aliyah Boston, and more. Oddsmakers view Laces BC (+250) and Phantom BC (+320) as the favorites to win it all on DraftKings, and Rose has the fourth-best odds (+650) to repeat as Unrivaled champions.
Let's take a look how the Reese signing affects Rose BC, futures bets, and Unrivaled championship betting odds. Of all eight clubs, I will pick the top four that can make a championship run.

Unrivaled preseason championship odds: +450
Let's start with Rose BC. While Reese has missed a significant portion of the season, she returns for the final three games of the regular season. With a 5-6 record, Rose ranks fifth, placing them in playoff contention.
The question remains: Can Rose sneak into the playoffs given that the top six teams will advance?
There's no question that Rose BC were among the favorites to repeat as Unrivaled champions, and held the second-best odds (+450) on FanDuel behind Mist BC as early favorites on FanDuel. Several members returned to the club, including Chelsea Gray, Lexie Hull, Kahleah Copper, and head coach Nola Henry.
That said, Rose drafted forward Shakira Austin and guard Sug Sutton, and now Reese and Austin will form a powerhouse in the frontcourt.
Reese will undoubtedly make an instant impact on the glass and in the paint. Rose BC is the least efficient club in the league, allowing 829 total points. Sitting 3.5 games back of Laces BC for the top seed, this club has some work to do. Last in rebounds (30 RPG) and defensive rebounds (23.6 DRPG), this is where Reese can make an impact.
The first player to record a 20/20 game (20+ points, 20+ rebounds), Reese was crowned the inaugural Defensive Player of the Year. In addition, she led Unrivaled in rebounds (170 total, 12.4 RPG). Named All-Unrivaled Second Team in 2025, Reese averaged 13.3 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 14 games.
Rose will need to use every bit of its supporting cast considering they dropped three of the last four games. Chelsea Gray was crowned winner of the 1v1 tournament, and Austin has thrived in a starting role. Rose is the top 3-point shooting team (35.6%), though that number may drop with the departure of Stevens. However, we've seen coach Henry deploy a double big lineup to secure games in the past, and may utilize that again.
Unrivaled preseason championship odds: +290
Mist BC was the favorite to win the Unrivaled championship heading into this season at +290 odds. It's easy to see given that this team is completely stacked and led by head coach Zach O'Brien.
Breanna Stewart, Alanna Smith, Li Yueru, Veronica Burton, Arike Ogunbowale and Allisha Gray—this lineup is elite. And I love the fact that Smith has earned more playing time.
Mist has been on a bit of a downslope, losing two of its last three games this month. While the offense has gone stagnant at times, let's not forget this is the No. 1 offense in Unrivaled. Not only do they lead the league in points (75.4 PPG) and steals per game (5.5 SPG), they rank top three in rebounds (34.2 RPG) and assists (12.6 APG).
We just witnessed Ogunbowale, Stewart, Burton, and Gray in the 1v1 tournament. This is a club that possesses an immense amount of talent, and no team puts up more 3-pointers than Mist (21.5 3PA). While this team lives or dies by the three, several players on this roster can score in a variety of ways, hence why they lead Unrivaled in free throw attempts per game (9.2 FTA).
Despite its recent struggles, Mist BC remains a top contender at +425 odds to win it all. Although a middle-of-the-road defensive team, this roster has the perfect mix of size, length, versatility, and scoring.
Unrivaled preseason championship odds: +800
Phantom BC (8-3) joins Laces BC as the only two clubs to punch their way to the playoffs. Heading into this season, this roster underwent an overhaul. Natasha Cloud was the only returning member, meaning Kelsey Plum, Aliyah Boston, Dana Evans, Tiffany Hayes and Kiki Iriafen are here to stay.
I do believe oddsmakers weren't initially high on Phantom due to Satou Sabally's season ending injury. Announcing that she would miss the season before it started, it left several in doubt. However, this is not the same roster as last season.
Enduring just three losses this season, Phantom BC is on a tear, winning four straight games before the tournament break. And if we want to talk consistency, this team is putting up top numbers. Ranking second in points per game (73.36 PPG), this is a team that takes a hefty amount of 3-pointers per game (20.09 3PA). Plus, their field goal percentage (48%) and 3-point percentage as a team (34.8%) rank among the top three in the league.
Allowing just 67 opponent points per game, Phantom BC is one of the most complete teams in Unrivaled.
Plum's connection with Boston is undeniable, both ranking among the top ten in scoring. Plus, Boston is having a career year, especially adding the ability to stretch the floor. With four players averaging points in double figures, I don't see a ton of weaknesses on this team. Although inconsistent, Kiki Iriafen has put up some monstrous games for Phantom BC.
Unrivaled preseason championship odds: +460
The favorite to win it all at +250 odds, Laces BC has been an unstoppable force. Owning a league best 8-2 record, this club was the first to punch its way into the postseason.
I bet on the Laces to win it all last season, and they finished as the No. 3 seed. Despite injuries, they finished with a 4-0 record. That said, any team can show out at any given time. Look at Rose and Vinyl—we all thought Lunar Owls would win the entire thing.
Led by Alyssa Thomas, Jackie Young, Jordin Canada and Brittney Sykes, this team is full of speedy, strong, and versatile guards. Surprisingly, Laces are ranked middle-of-the-road in rebounds. With Naz Hillmon and Maddy Siegrist holding down the frontcourt, this team does lack a true center. That does scare me when it comes to opponents such as Reese, Boston, Malonga, etc.
Overall, oddsmakers tabbed Laces BC with +460 preseason odds, marking them as the third-highest ranked team to win the Unrivaled championship. With four games remaining, they will face Breeze BC, Phantom BC, and Rose BC, all tough opponents.
Winning seven of its last eight games, head coach Andrew Wade has this team down to a science. Laces is a powerhouse of a team that averages 71.9 points per game. Rostering players that thrive in transition and getting downhill, this club boasts an 80% win percentage, and a 48.2% field goal percentage.
Laces BC may not beat teams automatically from 3-point land (33.3%), but their defensive and versatility makes them one of the best in the league. Holding opponents to a league-best 65.9 points per game, this club is lethal on both sides of the ball. While protecting the boards, teams are shooting just 45.6% from the field and 30.6% from beyond the arc.
Depending on the final seeding, I could see Mist BC and Phantom BC as the last two teams standing. Breeze BC and Rose BC are two teams that could also make a run. I included my top four teams and predictions, all that have value.
