The noteworthy game on Tuesday night in the National Basketball Association is the matchup of the Dallas Mavericks against the Los Angeles Lakers. It will be the first meeting of Luka Dončić against his former team since he was shockingly traded on Feb. 2.
The Lakers vs. Mavs will not hold quite the drama it would have if Anthony Davis was healthy. The former Laker big man is out for at least two more weeks with an adductor strain. That means Luka vs. AD won’t happen.

To be fair, the big game on the schedule is April 9 when the Lakers bring Luka back to Dallas to face the team he thought he would end his career with.
because Dončić will understandably be motivated to put the ball in the basket often against his former teammates.

Our picks below are based on the offerings from the DK Pick6 app. We make picks here 3-4 times per week, for the NBA, college hoops, and even the NHL when we find great opportunities.
This is a five-player Pick6 for NBA games on Tuesday:
These picks are for performance in the DAL vs LAL, BOS vs TOR, MIL at HOU, and PHO at MEM games. Two of these NBA games can be seen on national television or streaming services. More on that below.
That was nonsense. These are professional ballers: they can hop on a court in a public park in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and they will know how to work the rock together.
But, in their most recent thrashing of the Nuggets (on the road). King James and Luka looked very comfortable sharing the ball, and moving it in and out of the hands of Austin Reaves too.
he will be frustrating, so take caution. In some games, especially when the La La’s have three in a week bunched together, Luka can take way (way, way, way) too many offensive plays off.
But tonight, squaring off against former coach Jason Kidd, and former teammate Kyrie Irving, expect Luka to clear the floor a lot, have the rock in his mitts a lot, and shoot (a lot).
the team is obviously better with Dončić. But don’t hop on the hype train yet: Luka will not play defense. Simply watch Dončić for 3-4 defensive possessions and note his lack of movement.
He swivels his head, finding the ball (and losing his assignment) practically every time down the court. Luka’s favorite defensive tactic is to sneak into the passing lane, hoping for a steal.
Maybe, the rest of the Lakers can play defense (Lebron may be able to focus on D with Luka on his side to take shots), but we’re not convinced Showtime is back in Hollywood.
The Memphis guard is healthy now, and he’s poised to guide the Grizz offense down the stretch. He’s coming off a 21 point, 10 board performance against the Cavaliers. Go More on 34.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists, using the DraftKings Pick6 app.
TV schedule for notable Tuesday night NBA games:
Laker guard Luka Dončić is still hampered by a nagging leg injury, so he won’t play defense and he won’t run that hard down the court. But luckily, in the NBA today, you can shoot fairly easily and launch from beyond the arc.
With his shooting skills, he’ll get 31+ against his former team in his Revenge Game.
