Best NBA Player Props for March 9 Featuring Donovan Mitchell, Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Jalen Brunson

As a big fan of player props across every sport, I find there is never a bad day to bet on them. However, when the schedule is relatively small, as it is today for the NBA with just five games on deck, it’s a great day to bet on NBA Player Props as several stars will be in action.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Best NBA Player Props (March 9)

• Evan Mobley, OVER 26.5 Pts + Reb at -115 (bet365)

With Joel Embiid sitting this one the competition will not be as fierce down low, and with Jarrett Allen out for the Cavs, the team will look to and need Evan Mobley to step up his game. He has gone OVER this mark in three of his last four games and in two of three games earlier in the season vs. Philadelphia.

Mobley will do it again today.

• Donovan Mitchell, OVER 25.5 Points at -109 (DraftKings)

Donovan Mitchell leads the Cavs with 28.6 points per game this season and has gone OVER this TOTAL in six of his last nine games and in two of three this season against the 76ers. With the Philadelphia roster decimated with injuries, there is going to be no one who can stop him from attacking the basket all night long.

Since this is a TOTAL he’s gone UNDER for four of his last five games, I would normally not think twice about taking it and pass it by. However, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has gone OVER it in two games against the Nuggets this season and will likely be asked to take over the game Monday with the Thunder dealing with so many injuries.

Intriguing prop bets featuring Nikola Jokic

• Nikola Jokic, OVER 26.5 Points at -120 (bet365)

Nikola Jokic has scored OVER this mark in six of his last eight games. However, the Thunder did a good job against him in the playoffs last season, holding him to the UNDER in four of seven games. They did so in both games against him last month. However, this time, the Thunder are short on size in the front court.

With Jamaal Murray likely out with a sprained ankle, the Nuggets are going to need/want Jokic to take over the game.

• Nikola Jokic, OVER 12.5 Rebounds at -110 (bet365)

He has missed this TOTAL in his last three games, but went over it nine of the previous 12. Much like his scoring output will benefit from Oklahoma City’s injury woes, so will his rebound numbers. Jokic has gone OVER it in 25 of 48 games played this season.

• Nikola Jokic, OVER 39.5 Pts + Reb at -115 (bet365)

If you think he’ll go OVER 26.5 points and 12.5 rebounds, then Jokic go OVER this TOTAL by default. He has gone OVER it in nine of is last 15 games and in 25 of 48 games played this season.

New York Knicks vs. Los Angeles Clippers Best NBA Player Props (March 9)

• Jalen Brunson, OVER 2.5 Made Threes at +135 (DraftKings)

Jalen Brunson has gone OVER this TOTAL in eight of his last 15 games and in four of is last seven. He is averaging 7.5 attempts per game and hitting 37.8% of them. Against a Clippers team that is among the worst at defending the perimeter, there’s a solid chance he’ll take his shots and make at least three.

• Jalen Brunson, OVER 6.5 3-Point Attempts at -115 (bet365)

He is averaging six per game this month with five games played, but has attempted 7+ in three of them.  It would be shocking if Brunson was not to take more against a weak perimeter defense like LA’s.
