NBA Player Props: Dallas Mavericks vs. New Orleans Pelicans

• Zion Williamson, OVER 21.5 Points at -120 (bet365)

Williamson is averaging 21.4 points per game this season and scored 22 and 24 points in the two games he played vs. Dallas. He has missed this number in his last four games and gone OVER it just six times in his last 15. However, he has gone OVER it in 26 of 51 games played this season.

He’ll get additional shots because of the quick tempo Dallas likes to play at, and more because the Pelicans have been rebounding well on the offensive glass (13.5 per game over the last 15 games). Opponents are averaging 46.5 per game. Second-chance shots could be what puts Williamson OVER.

Recent history vs. Pelicans should boost confidence in Cooper Flagg

• Cooper Flagg, OVER 6.5 Rebounds at +110 (DraftKings)

Flagg has missed this number in his last three games, and he has hit it just three times in his last 10. But, he has gone OVER it in eight of his last 15 games and in 29 of 56 games played in this season. In three games against the Pelicans, Flagg had six, seven, and nine. Opponents are pulling down 45.6 rebounds per game against the Pelicans.

This will be the second game of a back-to-back for Flagg, but in seven prior games (that were the second half of a back-to-back) he went OVER this TOTAL in five.

NBA Player Props: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Houston Rockets

• Luka Doncic, OVER 30.5 Points at -106 (DraftKings)

He has gone OVER this number in his last five games, but just six times in his last 10. Doncic has gone OVER it in 32 of 55 games this season, but had 25 points in the game against the Rockets on Dec. 25. Guards have been averaging 22-24 points per game this season against the Rockets.

Houston has one of the best defenses in the league, but Doncic has a solid history against them. Over the course of his career, he has averaged 31 points per game, but over the last four seasons, he has averaged 35.7 points per game.

Trust Kevin Durant's success against the Lakers on Monday night

• Kevin Durant, OVER 25.5 Points at -114 (DraftKings)

KD has gone OVER this mark in 32 of 63 games this season, but in only two of his last six. However, the Lakers have not been playing good defense this season, currently ranking 21st in the league in defensive rating. In 53 games against the Lakers, Durant has averaged 27.3 points per game, but last season he averaged 26.

Durant is listed as a forward but plays more like a scoring wing, which the Lakers have had trouble against.

NBA Player Props: San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Clippers

• Victor Wembanyama, OVER 3.5 Blocks at +129 (DraftKings)

Wembanyama leads the NBA with 3 blocks per game but has gone OVER this TOTAL in 10 of his last 12 games and in 30 of 52 this season. Opponents are averaging 4.6 blocks per game against the Clippers. A single player has recorded 3+ blocks against the Clippers in 21 games this season (17 different players).

Darius Garland's success from 3-point range is an intriguing play vs. Los Angeles

• Darius Garland, OVER 2.5 Made 3-Pointers at -136 (FanDuel)

Garland is averaging 2.5 made threes and 6.6 attempts per game this season. He has made OVER 2.5 in six of his last eight games, but in 15 of 32 games played this season. In his last three games, he made five 3-pointers in each. In six games this month, he is averaging 3.7 made threes per game.

Opponents are averaging 13 made threes per game against the Spurs this season.

• Darius Garland, OVER 8.5 3-Point Attempts at -105 (bet365)

He is averaging 6.6 attempts per game this season and 7.8 per game this month (six games). But in his last four games, where he made 3, 5, 5, and 5 3-pointers, he attempted 8, 9, 9, and 10. With the Spurs allowing 13 made threes per game, there is a good chance Garland will be shooting early and often from behind the line today.
