On Thursday, March 13, the Duke Blue Devils play their first game in the ACC Tournament, taking on Georgia Tech.
Georgia Tech is coming off a 66-60 win over Virginia to advance to this round.
The winner of this game moves on to face the winner of Wake Forest and North Carolina.

Kicking off my college basketball predictions for this Same Game Parlay with Duke -22.5.
While 22.5 points is a lot against anyone, especially a team that’s advanced in the ACC Tournament, I’m just not sure how Duke doesn’t blow them out.
These played once this season in December, and Duke annihilated them 82-56 in that game.
That stretch features a 33-point win over Wake Forest, a 35-point win over Florida State, a 43-point win over Illinois, and more.
Georgia Tech is averaging 73.5 points per game this season (156th), but that number has been just 66 points over its last three games.
Further, Georgia Tech allows 72.3 points (173rd) per game to Duke’s 61.4 points (fourth).
When you look at the KenPom data, Duke is in the top four in offensive (129.1) and defensive (89.4) efficiency.
Look for Duke to have another blowout and take advantage of Georgia Tech’s turnovers (12.3 per game; 232nd in the country).
Next up in my college basketball predictions today, I'll take the under at 143.5.
While I do expect a blowout on Duke’s end, I’ll also take the under.
At 143.5 points and given the 22.5-point spread, the predicted score is roughly 83-60.
This is strikingly similar to their December game, which ended with a final score of 82-56, a total of 138 points.
Duke shot 56.4% from the floor and 40% from 3-point range.
This season, Duke boasts a field goal percentage of 49.1% and 38.7% from 3-point range.
So, despite them shooting even better than they do on the season in that game, it still wasn’t enough.
Georgia Tech shoots just 44.2% from the field (187th) and 33.7% from 3-point range (184th).
Perhaps they will improve from their 20-point second half and put up a better fight, but they’re also working against a Duke team that does place a slow pace, averaging 68.3 possessions per game (276th).
It’ll be close, but look for this game to go just under 143.5.
In Flagg’s last game against Georgia Tech, he scored 13 points across 28 minutes.
While I do think there’s another blowout in order, considering it's the ACC Tournament, we could see Flagg play a bit more.
In that game, he shot 5 of 11 from the floor, including 1 of 3 from 3-point range and 4 of 8 on 2-point shots.
The 28 minutes he played is tied for the sixth-least in any game this season.
When he plays under 30 minutes, he only has 23 points or more once.
There’s still a lot of the season left to play, and I think Flagg will play around 30 minutes in this game, assuming there’s a blowout.
While I think Flagg lands under on his points, I’ll actually take the over on the 7.5 rebounds. He’s been crashing the boards lately, posting seven or more in four of his last six games.
The majority of Flagg’s rebounds are defensive rebounds, and Georgia Tech allows 23.4 of those per game, which is 239th in the country.
Finally, I’m taking another over on his statistics at 4.5 assists.
Part of designing this parlay was to have some contrarian plays, including the over on rebounds and assists.
After all, it could happen where Flagg plays more minutes but perhaps gets his teammates more involved.
He did have only two against Georgia Tech, which is definitely worth noting, but in a tournament game as Duke aims for a national championship run, getting more players involved and further acclimated to the offense will only make them a more potent team.
Georgia Tech allows 14 assists (240th) per game, and Flagg averages right around this line (4.2) per outing.
