We have odds and picks for a trio of NBA games on Friday. The Warriors and Spurs, two of the most interesting teams in the western conference, are on the east coast to face opponents. Our other game pits the Knicks and Magic in a rivalry game.
All odds in this preview are from the Fliff social betting app, which is free to download, and available in almost every state, whether it has legal sports wagering or not.
When these teams meet, the tempers tend to flare. The Magic and Knicks have a history of dramatic postseason clashes. This game may be happening late in the year, but it has the opportunity to be one of the best regular season battles of the calendar year. When these teams met a little over a week ago, the Knicks won, also in Orlando. So far, NY is 2-0 against their rivals in the 2024-25 season.
We expect the Magic to keep this game close, and with the 6.5 points, win on the spread. Bet $115, win $215, including your stake.
The Warriors are in free fall. Since November 23, the Dubs are 3-11, and have lost five of their last six games. Twice this season, the Clippers have defeated the Warriors.
Steph Curry & Co. are shooting poorly the last six games, with three-pointers coming at a rate below 32 percent. The harder you try to make long-range shots, the less likely you are to make them. We do not like the Warriors and Clippers to reach the 217.5 points for this O/U. Bet the under on this west coast game.
Are you a believer yet? Victor Wembanyama is a superstar, and his time to assume the role as face of the NBA is now. The Spurs’ big man has scored 140 points in 147 minutes in his last four games. He’s also averaging 10 rebounds, 7 blocks and 4 assists over that stretch. Inside or out, fast break or pick-and-roll, The Unicorn is a menace on the court.
On Friday night in Brooklyn, Wembanyama and the Spurs (15-15) will square off against the Nets (11-18), coming off two tough losses, both on the road. But we like Wemby to be Wonderful against the listless Nets, who have a 2-7 record in December.
Give up the 6.5 points, and bet on the Spurs to cover the spread. A winning $110 bet will garner you $100.
Victor Wembanyama OVER 29.5 points (+180 from Fliff sports betting app). Fliff offers player prop bets on select players for select games. Click the NBA NHL, or other sporting event you’re interested in to view the prop bets for that contest. Remember to wager only what you can afford to lose.
Here’s the TV schedule for the three NBA games we previewed for Friday:
Our best pick for Friday’s NBA action is a prop bet on San Antonio superstar Victor Wembanyama: +180 odds on him to score over 29.5 points vs. the Nets in Brooklyn. Tip-off is at 7:30 PM ET.
