Washington Wizards at Cleveland Cavaliers (-22, +210)

This is the biggest mismatch of the NBA 2024-25 season so far. The Cavs are the best team in the league, with a remarkably versatile roster and deep bench. The Wizards are clueless. As  in without a clue. Sans clue. Nary a clue in sight. The Wizards have lost 14 straight. The last time Washington won was before Halloween. Talk about scary.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is an early-season MVP candidate, and his backcourt running mate Jalen Williams is playing the toughest ball of his pro career. Neither of these dynamic players seem like outside-in players: they dare to face the basket, back into the paint, or launch threes. There’s little defense against the Thunder tandem.

So why do we like the Jazz and 11.5 points? Because Utah (4-16) is finally figuring out what type of team they are. In a one-point loss to the Lakers on Sunday, the Jazz showed a semblance of an offense.
