Eight NBA games are on the schedule for Wednesday night. The only undefeated team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, will be in action, as will LeBron James and his Lakers as they entertain Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies.
We have two other games as our top Fliff sports betting app picks of the day. But as a bonus, we'll also list our Player Props wagers for MEM vs LAL and CLE vs PHI.
On Tuesday we were 1-for-3 on our Fliff picks, narrowly missing with our Mavericks pick, when they lost a lead late and succumbed to Golden State by three points.
The spread has us believe the Celtics are nine points better than Brooklyn on the road. We don’t dispute that BOS is a superior team. But, the Nets previously forced the Celtics to overtime in Boston. We think that effort will infuse the Nets with confidence here, and keep this game close until the fourth quarter.
The Brooklyn backcourt of Cam Thomas and Dennis Dennis Schröder is jelling into one of the most prolific and athletic in the league. Their energy and ability to control the tempo and knock down shots can keep BRO in games.
The Thunder are an overwhelming favorite in this mismatch. We think the oddsmakers have the spread too small.
The Pelicans have lost their last four road games by an average of 20.5 points. They’re without star forward Zion Williamson, and rank 28th out of 30 teams in points per game. The Pels are not actually a poor three-point shooting team, rating about league average.
But they have a difficult time making other shots, especially open two-pointers and transition baskets. Without Williamson, the Pels are arguably the least talented roster in the NBA.
If New Orleans loses by at least 15, your Fliff wager will win you $50 on a $57.50 bet, or $25 on a wager of $28.75, for example.
The Cavs are 12-0 and appear to be the cream of the crop in the Eastern Conference. Mitchell leads the fast-paced offense, and after a slow start the 28-year old former first round pick is coming off a 36-point game.
In 11 games this season, Scottie Pippen Jr. has four double-doubles, one on points/rebounds, and three on points/assists. We like the son of the Hall of Famer to dish enough assists against his former team to secure his fifth NBA double-double.
