It's east coast vs west coast. It's old school NFL vs old school AFL (Google it). Young QB Superstar vs Old QB Superstar. All of those stories are on display for Monday Night Football.
In this article I select my MNF best bets for the New York Giants at the Los Angeles Rams in SoCal.
Below are my four top picks with odds from Sportzino, Onyx, and Betr: the best-rated sweepstakes sportsbooks.

The Rams offense sputtered down under in Week 1. Some experts had this team going undefeated. Now the task is to get win #1 tonight against the Giants. Most of the pressure falls on the shoulders of veteran QB Matthew Stafford.
Stafford was 15-for-25 (only 60% completion rate) with 0 TD passes and an interception last week. That should be seen as an aberration rather than an indication of a drop-off. Stafford is still elite. He's also a great candidate to bounce back after a sluggish performance.
Since 2024, in games after Stafford throws for 0-1 touchdowns, he's averaged 2.7 TD passes in his next game. Last season, he had nine games of 3+ TD passes, setting a franchise record.
Monday night's game will be only the seventh start of Cam Skattebo's NFL career. That doesn't seem to jibe with the narrative around the Giants running back. The hype over the back-flipping Skattebo is heightened, but the accomplishments are mostly average. He's produced 51.5 yards rushing per game on average. Which is where Onyx and Betr have his O/U for MNF vs. the Rams.
Tonight, the Rams defensive front should be annoyed following the loss in Australia last week against the 49ers. The Rams allowed the fewest rushing TDs last season (8), and their front four is rated among the best in the NFL. I expect DC Chris Shula to have his group ready to stifle the Giants on the ground.
Important takeaway: Skattebo has rushed for as much as 70 yards only three times in his NFL career. That's why I like the Under for his ground yards for MNF.
As you can likely tell from my previous picks, I'm leaning into the Rams for the MNF matchup against the Giants. I like the Giants to improve by at least four wins this season, and a playoff spot isn't out of the possibility, but the Rams are too good to start 0-2.
Odds from Onyx, which is available from your app store, show the Rams are 6.5 point favorites. That may seem like too many points to ignore if you believe in an underdog bet. But, there's an interesting trend that I can't ignore:
Since 2021, John Harbaugh teams have lost 15 games by at least 7 points. That's the fourth-most in the NFL over that stretch. Yes, really. With Harbaugh far too often when his team loses, it's not a close game.
The Rams are at home and should cover the 6.5 points. I'll give up the points and take the odds from Sportzino:
You shouldn't be emotional about Monday Night Football when it comes to your betting strategy. Most of us don't care who wins the game: we want to be winners with out betting slips.
The QB matchup will be fun to watch. It's MVP Present against MVP Future. Stafford has proven he's Canton-worthy. For Jaxson Dart, he's creating his credentials week-by-week in an effort to inch into the circle of the best NFL quarterbacks.
This four-leg parlay assumes Stafford will bounce back, and Dart will find his favorite targets to keep the G-Men in this game. You must win all four legs to get the payoff. In this case, the odds from Onyx are +560, which means a $10 winning bet gets you $56.
