Let's get started by talking about what we may see when the San Antonio Spurs host the Denver Nuggets tonight.
If you're looking to bet on the NBA, Ballislife has all the NBA betting odds on our website.
Since returning from the break, Wembanyama has been terrorizing opposing shooters, averaging 4.3 blocks per game (over the last 11 games), 4+ in nine of 11 games. He has gone over this TOTAL with blocks alone in five games. As for his steals, he has had at least one in nine of 11 games since the break and multiple in three.
Opponents are averaging 4.7 blocks per game against Denver (14th in the league) and 7.9 steals per game (8th-best). San Antonio is averaging 5.4 blocks per game this season. Wembanyama is averaging three blocks per game and one steal per game. In six career games against Denver, he has had 4+ blocks in three, with a high of 9.
He has gone OVER this TOTAL in 18 games this season. At +100, this is one I can’t pass up.
He is averaging 3 per game this season and has had OVER 2.5 in 11 of his last 15 games and in 8 of his last 10. Against the Nuggets during his career, he had 3+ in four of six. Opponents have had a single player record 3+ blocks against the Nuggets in 34 games.
Fox is averaging 19 points per game this season and has gone OVER this TOTAL in his last four games. Fox is the kind of player who is at his best when using his speed and quickness to push the pace and attack in transition before teams can set their defense. With this being the second of a back-to-back for Denver, the Nuggets may not have the legs to keep up with him for long. Should Wembanyama end up sitting (GTD), his usage will go up, making it even more likely he goes OVER this TOTAL.
SGA is averaging 31.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game (for a total of 42.8). He crushed this number against the Nuggets in his last game (59). But he has gone OVER it just once in the previous five games (also vs. Denver). He went OVER it in two games last season against Boston.
In 65 games, 27 players have combined to go OVER this TOTAL 31 times. Against a defense-oriented team like Boston, with more help on the court for SGA with Chet Holmgren returning, I like the chances that SGA doesn’t feel like he needs to do it all and goes UNDER this TOTAL.
He is averaging 15.8 points per game this season. But he has picked up his game of late, averaging 19.4 points per game over his last 14 games. Buzelis has gone OVER this TOTAL in five of his last six. In the 21 games since January 1 in which he has recorded 30+ minutes, he has scored 17.5+ in 16 of them. With the Lakers ranking in the bottom third of the league in defensive efficiency, I like the OVER.
Giddey has averaged 8.4 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game this season. He has gone over those marks in both categories in his last four games. He missed the mark in his only game against the Lakers this season (13). But went over it in two games last season. He has gone OVER this TOTAL in 24 of 43 games and averaged 18.5 Reb + Ast on the road. Given how he has played and the Lakers' lax defense, there is a good chance he goes OVER this mark for a fifth consecutive game.
