A rematch of the 2022 NBA Finals is on tap when the Boston Celtics and the Golden State Warriors cross paths this Wednesday at the TD Garden.
The Celtics are fresh off a 30-point demolition of the Atlanta Hawks on Monday to notch its seventh win of the season while the Warriors picked up its fourth consecutive victory following a 125-112 victory over the Washington Wizards.
Will Boston continue its mastery over the Warriors or will Golden State sustain its strong start and extend its winning streak to five? As of press time, here’s the current Boston Celtics vs Golden State Warriors odds look like.
The Boston Celtics return home after capping off their four-game road trip with a 123-93 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.
Most Valuable Player (MVP) candidate Jayson Tatum has been his usual deadly self throughout the Celtics road trip, averaging 31.5 points, eight rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2.3 steals.
Regardless of whether forward Jaylen Brown plays or not, expect Tatum to continue to carry the scoring load for the Celtics, who currently lead the league in scoring.
One thing the Celtics have to do to cover the spread here against the Golden State Warriors is to get everyone to step up, especially guards Derrick White and Jrue Holiday.
With the Warriors’ offense likely centering around future Hall of Famer Stephen Curry, the Celtics will need White, Holiday and even Payton Pritchard to strut their defensive wares to try and contain him.
Besides Curry, the Celtics will also need to put a body on Buddy Hield who has been having a career year with the Warriors this season, leading the team in scoring at 22.2 points.
Should Boston impose its defensive presence on the Warriors’ backcourt and get the usual production from Tatum, backing them to cover the spread is a solid play at these current odds.

The Golden State Warriors have exceeded critics’ expectations in what supposed to be a transition year after parting ways with Klay Thompson in the offseason.
Winners of six of their first seven, the Warriors are currently riding a four-game winning run thanks to the stellar offensive display of sharpshooter Buddy Hield, who has seemingly settled in nicely in the Bay Area.
With Curry, Hield, and Wiggins seemingly in form and the Boston Celtics likely missing Jaylen Brown, there could be potential value towards backing the Warriors to cover the spread at these current odds.
It is also worth noting that the Warriors have covered the spread in their four road games this season. Even more impressive is the fact that Golden State won those road fixtures by an average margin of 28.3 points.
Current Boston Celtics vs Golden State Warriors odds make sense considering the pedigree of the defending champions. However, with the Celtics likely missing Jaylen Brown, the Warriors should have the edge here.
Even if Brown does suit up, he will likely be playing limited minutes and for that reason I am picking the Warriors to cover. The moneyline is attractive but I am sticking with free points for Golden State.
