The San Antonio Spurs and the Milwaukee Bucks hope to return to the win column as they cross paths this Friday at the AT&T Center.
“San Antonio suffered its second loss in a row after falling to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday 128-116 while Milwaukee succumbed to the Portland Trail Blazers 125-112 to lose their second game of their current road trip.”
Will the Spurs avenge their loss and snap their two-game losing skid or will the Bucks sweep the season series and bounce back in style?
Keep scrolling as we take an in-depth look of how both teams would fare with one another in this comprehensive San Antonio Spurs vs Milwaukee Bucks sports betting predictions article.
The San Antonio Spurs dropped its second game in a row on Wednesday after losing to the Los Angeles Clippers 128-116.
It does not get any easier for the Spurs next as they take on the Milwaukee Bucks – a team that beat them by double digits earlier this month.
But if there’s one thing that San Antonio can feel good about heading into this matchup with Milwaukee, it’s the return to form of franchise superstar Victor Wembanyama.
With Wembanyama and Castle on fire, there could be value towards backing the Spurs to cover the spread at home versus the Bucks at underdog odds.
For the Spurs to cover the spread, however, they would need to improve their play in the rebounding department. Against Milwaukee last time, San Antonio found themselves on the losing end of the rebounding battle and even worse is they allowed their opponents to get 10 second chance opportunities.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been struggling to keep it all together during this road trip, having lost two of their first three games with the latest being a 125-112 defeat to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Milwaukee looks to end their road trip on a strong note as they clash with the San Antonio Spurs and considering the manner that they’ve beaten this team earlier this month, they might have a chance of doing such a thing.
One thing we’d like to see the Bucks do here though is impose its presence down low and win the rebounding battle. Against the Trail Blazers, Milwaukee was out-rebounded 52-36 and what’s even more frustrating was they allowed their opponents 17 second chance opportunities.
A terrible shooting downtown also didn’t help Milwaukee’s cause as they only converted 11 of their 35 attempts from rainbow country, good for a measly 31.4% shooting percentage.
Should the Bucks address their issues on the boards and their shooting woes, backing them to cover the spread versus the Spurs is a no-brainer at -112..
With versatile center Victor Wembanyama back in his usual form, the San Antonio Spurs are always a live underdog at home against any team in the league. However, I am going with experience and picking the Milwaukee Bucks to end their losing skid.
Considering that Giannis Antetokounmpo has been tough to stop in the past three games and the recent history of the Bucks versus the Spurs, I am far more confident in picking the favorite to return to the win column in style here. Give me the Bucks to cover the spread.
