The Phoenix Suns hope to sustain its winning momentum when it hosts the struggling Philadelphia 76ers this Monday at Footprint Center.
Winners of five of their last six, the Suns are fresh off a 103-97 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday while the 76ers dropped its second game in a row at home against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Will the Suns continue its winning momentum and extend its winning streak to five or will the 76ers finally return to the win column?

The Phoenix Suns head into this matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers in high spirits after recording its fourth straight win on Saturday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
All-Star guard Devin Booker had a near triple-double performance, finishing with 28 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists while Kevin Durant added 21 points and nine rebounds for the Suns who have won all three home games this season.
Up next for them is the banged-up 76ers squad who will likely be without All-Stars Joel Embiid and Paul George against the Suns and one could argue that the -4.5 spread could be somewhat generous, considering Phoenix’s pedigree.
This pales in comparison with Philadelphia who currently ranks last in rebounds and third-last in field goal percentage.
With Embiid and George still likely out of commission, the Suns have all the tools in the world to put up a dominant showing here, especially when Booker, Durant, and Bradley Beal continue their stellar play.
Should the Suns continue to get the same offensive production from their stars, backing the home squad to cover and win big at these current odds is something worth considering for punters looking for a betting angle on the favorite.
The Philadelphia 76ers have struggled lately and that has a lot to do with the absence of All-Stars Paul George and Joel Embiid who have been sidelined due to nagging knee injuries.
George and Embiid’s status in this matchup against the Phoenix Suns remains probable though an encouraging thought is they’ve started to participate in five-on-five scrimmages.
Should George and Embiid suit up against the Suns, then the current line should move quickly to their favor but even if they don’t, the 76ers still have plenty of offensive weapons to put up a fight and cover the +4.5 spread.
It is also worth noting that they are taking on a Suns team that has been historically bad at covering the spread all season as a favorite, only doing so one out of four times.
A few things Philadelphia have to do here to increase their chances of covering the spread and potentially even winning this matchup is to win the rebounding battle or at least make it close.
Against the Memphis Grizzlies, the 76ers found themselves in the middle of nowhere as their opponents out-rebounded them 52-33, which led to 11 second-chance opportunities.
This simply won’t cut it against a formidable Suns team who has plenty of offensive weapons across different areas of the floor.
Should Maxey and Oubre Jr. put up their usual numbers and get the much-needed offensive boost from their supporting cast, there could be potential value towards backing the 76ers to cover the spread.
Had the Philadelphia 76ers been healthy, then backing them to not only cover the spread but to win outright against the Phoenix Suns is a no-brainer. But the 76ers are anything but healthy and they are taking on a Suns team that has been on fire lately.
With Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Devin Booker powering Phoenix’s offense, expect the home team to cover and possibly blow the 76ers out of the water.
