What the future holds for the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo was a big topic of conversation leading up to the NBA trade deadline — but nothing happened. Following the 2026 NBA Draft lottery, the Bucks made it clear they were open to fielding offers again for their franchise superstar.
This has led sportsbooks like DraftKings to once again offer fans a chance to bet on Giannis Antetokounmpo's next team odds. Of course, whether they will get an appropriate offer for one of the best players in the NBA (when he’s healthy) remains to be seen. On that note, let’s check out the odds.

The following are the odds for several of the teams rumored to have interest in acquiring the 31-year superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo (via DraftKings):
With his resume, it would be easier to list who would not want him than who would. Antetokounmpo is a 10-time All-Star, 2-time NBA MVP, 7-time All-NBA First Team selection, a former Defensive Player of the Year, and a 4-time All-NBA Defensive First Team selection.
Prior to this season, he averaged a double-double for three consecutive seasons with 30+ points and 11+ rebounds per game. A team would be foolish not to want that kind of production on the roster. To be fair, some teams probably feel like they don’t need it or don’t want to pay the price tag that Milwaukee will likely demand in order to acquire him. That is completely understandable.
If what they currently have works, why blow it up for a fix they don’t feel they need?
But for a talent like Antetokounmpo, there will undoubtedly be plenty of offers for the Bucks to sift through. Of course, while he has the resume of a player worth spending a fortune to acquire via trade, he comes with injury risk. He missed 29 games due to various injuries this season (another 16 for injury management), 16 games during the 2024-25 season, and nine the year before.
There is no need to beat around the bush here. In my humble opinion, the best bet is simple. After watching the drama unfold before the trade deadline, I’m taking him to stay in Milwaukee next season at +300.
We’ve been through this show before, and nothing happened. As great an addition as Giannis Antetokounmpo would be to any NBA roster, most teams will not even consider the price tag because it will be so high. At the same time, it is hard to argue with it. He’s a generational player, and at 31, he has several great years ahead of him.
But if a team gives up too much, it gains a superstar and becomes more marketable. But the overall quality of the roster dips, and the team still doesn’t develop into a contender. So, because the Bucks will want too much, I’m banking on them not finding a trade partner. Milwaukee will then make him happy by signing him to an absurd contract extension in the fall.
But if he does get traded, the following are my top picks:
According to reports, the Heat are open to making a substantial offer to the Bucks. With Pat Riley possibly looking to retire sometime in the near future (final), it would not be shocking to see him pull the trigger on a crazy deal for Giannis Antetokounmpo in an effort to win one last championship. It doesn’t hurt that Antetokounmpo has spoken favorably about Miami in the past.
I don’t put much stock in rumors. However, after early and disappointing playoff exits this season, I would not be shocked to see either the Celtics or the Knicks make an enticing offer to the Bucks. Each could package one of their current superstars, maybe a role player or two, and some draft picks. In the end, they’ll (whoever makes the trade) need to make some savvy free agency moves to add depth. But they’ll be better positioned for a title run despite the roster losses.
Since Antetokounmpo expressed some interest in the Knicks last season. If New York falls short in the Eastern Conference Finals, I can absolutely see them pulling the trigger on a crazy trade to acquire him.
