Despite gambling and Mafia-linked poker games tied to Terry Rozier and Chauncey Billups, the NBA season has NOT disappointed! Today, there are five games scheduled on the NBA slate!

In fact, there have been four 50-point games over the last two days! According to Ballislife, that includes 16 40-point games in the previous six DAYS! We are talking about some historical performances: Utah Jazz star Lauri Markkanen is coming off a career-high 51 points against the Phoenix Suns.

Over the last week, OKC Thunder star and former MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander exploded for a career-best 55 points against the Indiana Pacers. Laker's guard Austin Reaves additionally recorded a career-high 51 points against the Sacramento Kings.

If that wasn't enough, Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon tallied a 50-piece and a career-high in points against the Golden State Warriors. Without star LeBron James, Luka Dončić set a record per ESPN with 92 points in his first two games.

Oh, and Victor Wembanyama. He's second in the MVP race among sportsbooks behind SGA with +310 odds. Absolutely unstoppable, the French sensation is averaging 33.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, six blocks, 2.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game through his first three outings of the 2025-2026 NBA season with the San Antonio Spurs.

Key NBA Matchups For Tuesday, October 28

Knicks vs Bucks

Tonight's slate will feature a primetime matchup between the New York Knicks (2-1, 0-1 away) and the Milwaukee Bucks (2-1, 1-0 home).

It's no secret the Knicks are looking for their first NBA championship since 1973 and have been knocking on the door for a few years. This should be a great matchup, featuring Clutch Player of the Year Jalen Brunson and two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Knicks are loaded with talent, although Karl-Anthony Towns, Miles McBride, and Guerschon Yabusele are listed as questionable. With big man Mitchell Robinson ruled out for Tuesday's contest, New York may be short-handed in the frontcourt against the "Greek Freak," Antetokounmpo.

Two-point and -124 moneyline favorites on the road, the Knicks are 2-1 on the season, and sit sixth in the Eastern Conference. Led by Brunson and newly hired head coach Mike Brown, New York is fresh off a 115-107 loss against the Miami Heat on the road. With victories over conference rivals, the Celtics and the Cavaliers face a Bucks team that has beaten the Raptors and the Wizards.

With Damian Lillard's departure, Antetokounmpo and Myles Turner will have to lead a younger group. Gary Trent Jr., Kyle Kuzma, and Cole Anthony are all questionable for tonight's showdown.

The Knicks are 5-0 SU and ATS against the Bucks since 2023. That's certainly a key betting stat to keep an eye on.

Clippers vs Warriors

For the late-night primetime showdown, the Golden State Warriors (3-1, 2-0 home) will host the Los Angeles Clippers (2-1, 0-1 away) in the Bay! A battle between two popular California-based teams, this is a highly anticipated matchup.

With a 3-1 record, the Warriors sit third in the Western Conference and remain undefeated at Chase Center. Led by Steph Curry, who made his NBA debut 16 years to the day, the team has been lights out.  With victories over the Grizzlies, Nuggets, and Lakers, Golden State is one of the top offensive powerhouses. With Curry, Jimmy Butler III, and Jonathan Kuminga leading the helm, the Warriors have incredibly strong bench depth.

Two-point spread and +108 moneyline underdogs at home, the Warriors face a Clippers team that is 2-1 and led by healthy James Harden and Kawhi Leonard. While we've yet to see the Bradley Beal experiment in LA, the Clippers are fresh off two straight wins over the Trail Blazers and Suns.

Head-to-head, the Clippers are 7-0 against the Warriors and 6-0 ATS against the Warriors since 2023! Does Dub Nation finally break the streak at home, or does LA continue to dominate over Golden State?

NBA BEST BETS (via FanDuel Sportsbook)

  • Tyrese Maxey (Philadelphia 76ers) OVER 28.5 Points (-125 Fanatics)
  • Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks) OVER 27.5 Points (-102 FanDuel)
  • LA Clippers vs Golden State Warriors OVER 225.5 Points (-112 FanDuel)

NBA Best Bets For Tuesday, October 28

Player Prop Bet #1: Tyrese Maxey

Tyrese Maxey 2025—2026 NBA Stats

GP: 3 | PPG: 34 | FG: 45.5 % | FT: 85 % | 3PT: 61.1  % | REB: 4.0 | AST: 7.5 | STL: 1.0 | BLK: 1.0

  • OVER 28.5 Points (-125 Fanatics)

My first best bet for today, I placed one unit on Philadelphia 76ers star guard Tyrese Maxey to record over 28.5 points against the Washington Wizards.

Although the NBA season has just started, Maxey has entered the MVP conversation. While not the front-runner or even in the top five, can we talk about how he has odds of +20000 to win the award?

Now in his sixth season with the 76ers, Maxey has taken his game to new heights we've never seen before. In two games, he's averaging 34 points, which ranks third in the NBA. In addition, he's compiled a 4.0 RPG, 7.5 APG stat line, all while shooting 45.4 percent from the field, and 61.1 percent from beyond the arc!

Maxey has been sensational in the backcourt, leading Philadelphia to a perfect 3-0 record. Logging 40+ minutes in all matchups for head coach Nick Nurse, he's coming off a 43-point performance in last night's 136-124 victory over the Charlotte Hornets.

Tallying multiple 40+ point performances, Maxey erupted for 40 points against a Jayson Tatum-less Celtics in the season opener. Against Charlotte, he scored 28 points.

Should Tyrese Maxey Be Included In NBA MVP Talks?

The 76ers' leading scorer, Maxey, is putting up an average of 34 points per game and 41.5 minutes! Not to mention, his shot volume is high, with 22 field goal attempts. Joel Embiid is expected to play tonight, as he's cautious about back-to-backs. Although sharing the court just once with Embiid this season, he still managed to put up 28 points.

Speaking of back-to-backs, I was a bit leery at first. However, Maxey has crushed this player prop line in four straight games with zero rest. Dating back to January 2025, he's averaged 32 points in those backs, including four straight 30+ point performances.

I am aware there may be a potential blowout matchup against the Wizards. Enduring a full rebuild in the District, the Wizards missed out on the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes. Maxey will have the pleasure of matching up with CJ McCollum and Bub Carrington in the backcourt.

Regardless of the rebuild, the Wizards are entering a new era post-Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole. With that said, they rank No. 20 in defensive rating (117), and allow the 11th most points to guards this season. Not one point guard has scored 20+ points until Hornets star LaMelo Ball erupted for 38 points against Washington on Sunday.

If this isn't a complete blowout, this is a prime spot for Maxey. Sure, his production will decrease a bit with Embiid back in the lineup, along with emerging rookie VJ Edgecombe. However, he's coming off 32 field goal attempts against the Magic, and is shooting 40.4 percent from three over the last two games!

Final NBA Player Prop Betting Prediction: Tyrese Maxey OVER 28.5 Points (-125 Fanatics)

An actual 3-level threat, Maxey has 19 free-throw attempts over that span. Overall, the 76ers are a top team from beyond the arc and lead the NBA in 3-point percentage (42.9 %). Given that Maxey leads the team with nine 3-point attempts per game, odds may be in his favor since the Wizards allow the eighth-highest 3-point percentage among opponents (37.1 %). Moreover, they allow 27.3 trips to the charity stripe.

  • I'm taking Tyrese Maxey to record over 28.5 points today and keep up an MVP-caliber start to the season.  In fact, he scored 29 points the last night Maxey faced the Washington Wizards.

Player Prop Bet #2: Jalen Brunson

Jalen Brunson 2025—2026 NBA Stats

GP: 3 | PPG: 30.3 | FG: 45.3 % | FT: 92.3 % | 3PT: 33.3 % | REB: 4.0 | AST: 5.7 | STL: 1.0 | BLK: 0

  • OVER 27.5 Points (-102 FanDuel)

My second-best bet for today, I placed one unit on New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson to record over 27.5 points against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Brunson is off to a blazing start in the Big Apple, averaging a career-best 30.3 points per game through three outings. Leading New York to a 2-1 record, he's coming off two straight 30+ point performances.

Logging a solid 34.7 minutes per game for Mike Brown, Brunson exploded for 37 points, finishing 14-26 from the floor, and 5-11 from beyond the arc against the Miami Heat Sunday. In the 115-107 loss, Brunson led all scorers (37 points).

The Knicks' leading scorer by a mile, Brunson, may have a larger role carved out if Anthony Towns and McBride are unable to lace up. Either way, he leads this Knicks squad in points, field goal attempts (21.3 FGA), and is second behind OG Anunoby with 9.0 3PA per game. Behind Brunson is Karl-Anthony Towns, who averages 20 points per game and 14 field goal attempts per game.

Is It Time To Settle The Jalen Brunson 1A Option Debate?

Brunson even scored 23 points in the season opener against a stingy Cavaliers defense that held him to 5-18 from the field. What makes this prop strong is that Brunson is playing at an elite level—he's averaging 34 points over the last two games, and his shot volume is incredible.

Putting up 46 shots over the last two outings, that's an average of 23 field goal attempts! Compare that to Towns, who ranks second on the team with 14 shot attempts. While Brunson is surrounded by talent (Towns, Mikal Bridges, Anunoby, McBride, Josh Hart), it's clear Brunson is the 1A option in New York. I mean, Brunson was named Clutch Player of the Year for a reason, right?

Brunson gets another matchup, this time against the Milwaukee Bucks on primetime television. At 2-1, the Bucks are decently ranked defensively (No. 11 defensive rating), and the backcourt combo of Ryan Rollins and AJ Green has been less forgiving to point guards. In three matchups, Donovan Mitchell, of the Cavaliers, scored 24 points on Sunday. On Thursday, Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley tallied 19 points.

Final NBA Player Prop Betting Prediction: Jalen Brunson OVER 27.5 Points (-102 FanDuel)

I'm looking for Brunson to bounce back here tonight, especially since he's averaging a 60.3 true shooting percentage and an insane high usage rate (31.7 percent).

  • I'm taking Jalen Brunson to record over 27.5 points tonight. He's soared over this player prop line in five of the last seven matchups against Milwaukee, dating back to 2023. In those five matchups, he scored 30+ points in all of them, averaging 41.2 points per game! In 16 career games against the Bucks, he's averaged 24.3 points. I love the value here at nearly plus money.

Total Bet: Los Angeles Clippers vs Golden State Warriors

Clippers O/U Record: 2-1
Warriors O/U Record: 4-0

  • OVER 225.5 Points (-112 FanDuel)

My third-best bet for tonight, I placed one unit on the Los Angeles Clippers vs. Golden State Warriors matchup to tally over 225.5 points.

Tonight's matchup features two of the most popular teams in the West with a ton of stars. We are talking two offensive powerhouses—the Warriors, who rank No. 7 in offensive rating (119.9), and the Clippers (119). Led by Steph Curry, the Warriors score the fourth-most points in the NBA (126.5 PPG).

Speaking of Curry, he's a main catalyst to the offense and a crucial x-factor to the Warriors' success. Averaging 33.3 points per game, he's already recorded a 42-point and a 35-point performance so far! In two of their three victories, Golden State has scored 131 and 137 points against the Memphis Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets, respectively.

Overall, this is a Warriors team that loves to push the pace (No. 13) and has tallied over in all four games this season. With tonight's line set at 225.5 total points, Golden State and its opponents are averaging over 250 total points per game. Are the books sleeping on this line?

No surprise: this is a team that ranks in the top six in 3-point attempts per game (42 3PA) and second behind the 76ers in 3-point percentage (41.7%). Aside from Curry, the Warriors have a three-headed monster with Jimmy Buttler III and Jonathan Kuminga. Kuminga, who signed an extension after a hold out this offseason, is averaging a career-high 18 points and a 58.1 field goal and 42.9 3-point percentage.

Why The Clippers and Warriors Can Total OVER Points Tonight

As mentioned, this team is stacked with talent, including Buddy Hield, Al Horford, Moses Moody, and Will Richard, who provide solid offense off the bench.

Tonight, they face a healthy Kawhi Leonard and James Harden, who headline this LA Clippers team. 2-1 on the season, Los Angeles won't have Bradley Beal; however, it will be up to them whether they can match the Warriors' pace.

With a 2-1 O/U record, the Clippers are coming off two straight wins, including a 129-102 victory against the Phoenix Suns. Ranking among the top 10 in offensive rating, this Clippers team averages 117 points per game. As a team, they lead the NBA in field goal percentage (52.5 %). In addition, LA boasts the fifth-highest 3-point percentage in the league (40%).

Although the Clippers possess less bench depth, a healthy Leonard and Harden make all the difference. Given the two combined for an average of 44 points per game, the Clippers have moved on post-Norman Powell. Between their two stars, Ivica Zubac, John Collins, and Derrick Jones Jr. all post points in double-figures.

Final NBA Betting Prediction: Los Angeles Clippers vs Golden State Warriors OVER 225.5 Total Points (-112 FanDuel)

Kawhi "The Claw" is coming off 30 and 27 points, while James Harden has scored 50 points over a two-game span. 8-2 against the Warriors since 2023, the Clippers have dominated this matchup, including the over in their last matchup. With the over/under 5-5 in their last 10 matchups, I like the point total for tonight.

  • I'm taking the OVER (225.5) for this one. Can I really fade two top ten offenses with stardom on both sides? Especially on primetime? When I think of both teams, offense comes to mind. Also, the Warriors can exploit the Clippers, who rank No. 17 in defensive rating. LA allows the seventh most 3-points per game (14.7) and ironically faces the 3-point champ, Steph Curry.  As a team, the Clippers allow 44 3-point attempts per game! Expect a shootout tonight.
