The NBA is back, and there's certainly a lot of buzz surrounding the league. We all woke up to the Anthony Davis for Luka Doncic trade, which has everyone talking! Arguably the most significant trade in NBA history, the Lakers and Mavericks struck a trade that will be a talking point for years to come.

With five games on the NBA slate, the Mavericks (26-23) will face the Cavaliers (39-9) at 3:30 p.m. While Anthony Davis and Max Christie aren't expected to suit up, all eyes will remain on Dallas.
If you're betting on the NBA slate, ESPN will feature two primetime matchups. Beginning at 6 pm ET, the Boston Celtics (34-15) will face the Philadelphia 76ers (19-28) in the City of Brotherly Love. Massive -10.5 point spread favorites, the Celtics look for their third straight victory.
Starting at 8:30 p.m. ET, the Milwaukee Bucks (26-20) will host the Memphis Grizzlies (32-16) at home. -3.5 point favorites, the Bucks are fresh off a two-game losing streak.
If you're looking to cash out on player prop bets, you've come to the right place! Here at Ballislife, I emphasize responsible betting in every single article I write. With a 5-2 NBA betting record this month, I am up over 2 units in February.
Let's take a look at my three best player prop bets for the February 2 NBA matchups!
Are you looking to bet on NBA player props all season long? Here at Ballislife Bets, we've gathered a complete list of the best sports betting offers here.
G: 10 | PPG: 16.6 | FG: 49.3 % | FT: 82.4 % | 3PT : 35.6 % | REB: 4.3 | AST: 2.4 | STL: 1.0| BLK: 0.3
My first player prop bet for today, I placed one unit on Clippers star Kawhi Leonard to score over 20.5 points.
It's the perfect script, Leonard will once return to his old stomping grounds, where he led the Raptors to a championship in 2019. After appearing in 68 games last season, Leonard has missed most of the current season with an injury.
Having played just 10 games for the Clippers this season, I don't normally place bets on players who are fresh off injury. However, Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue is starting to increase Leonard's playing time.
While it's taken a bit for Leonard to shake off the rust, he's starting to return to typical Kawhi form. And we've seen this with back-to-back 20+ performances vs the Hornets and Spurs.
Although not the most defensively efficient teams, Leonard has averaged 28.5 minutes, 18 field goal attempts, and 11 overall three-point attempts over the last two games.
While a bulk of Leonard's points came in the second half, we know one thing. Kawhi Leonard likes to cook up against former teams. And he'll get that chance today.
Even with a poetic lineup that consists of Norman Powell and James Harden, I do believe Leonard is more than capable of soaring over this prop line. Sure, his points average has decreased, but that should increase with minutes.
Even with a healthy Scottie Barnes, the Raptors have been one of the least efficient teams on the defensive end.
Better yet, the Raptors allow the 5th most opposing points per game in the entire NBA (116.5). With Leonard soaring over this player prop line in five of the last seven games, we've seen similar players have massive performances vs the Raptors.
First, bettors witnessed Zion Williamson cook Toronto for 31 points. Just a few weeks ago, Paolo Banchero poured in 26, while Giannis Antetokounmpo notched 35 points.
The highest points prop line of the season for Kawhi, I'm overall confident in his minutes and recent shot volume. Shooting 52.5 % from the field, and 53.5 % from downtown over the last two games, this signals Leonard is inching closer to full productivity.
G: 42 | PPG: 23.4 | FG: 45.7 % | FT: 73.9 % | 3PT : 32.2 % | REB: 6.0 | AST: 4.8 | STL: 1.2| BLK: 0.3
My second player prop bet for today, I placed one unit on Celtics star Jaylen Brown to record over 1.5 made threes vs the 76ers.
Named a NBA All-Star once again, Brown has had somewhat of a down year from a shooting percentage wise. However, with 23.4 points per game, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum remain one of the most lethal duos in the NBA.
Averaging 21.9 points over the last 10 games, it's clear Brown has struggled with the three-point (33.3 %), and that's been the story for the Celtics. Opposing teams have figured out unique ways to guard the reigning champions.
Although the Celtics have been in a slump as a team, they remain the top three-point shooting team with 48.5 attempts per game. With that said, Brown will let plenty of three-pointers fly today.
Overall, I was encouraged to see Brown's recent performance vs the Pelicans.
While the percentage may not be up to par, Brown has the 7 three-pointers in the last 3 games. With 20 3-point attempts over that span, Brown now faces a 76ers team that’s allowed the last 8/10 guards to soar over 1.5 three-pointers made.
Allowing the 11th highest three-point percentage to opponents (35.1 %), there's been injuries galore in the City of Brotherly Love.
Averaging 6.1 three-point attempts on 27.percent on the road isn't a great look. However, Brown still mains a very high usage rate of 29.3 % from Joe Mazzulla.
Given the 76ers rank 21 vs guards, Brown has hit the over in three of the last five games vs the 76ers.
We saw Julian Strawther and Malik Monk light it up for 3+ three-pointers over the last two matchups. The 76ers have had quite the tumultuous season, and what a better matchup for Brown to capitalize on.
G: 45 | PPG: 15.2 | FG: 61.2 % | FT: 95.7 % | 3PT : 0 % | REB: 12.8 | AST: 2.5 | STL: 0.7| BLK: 1.1
My last player prop bet for today, I placed one unit on Clippers center Ivica Zubac to record 12+ rebounds agains the Toronto Raptors.
One of my most improved players in the NBA, Zubac has reached new heights. Averaging a career high 15.2 points and 12.8 rebounds, Zubac has been a crucial piece to the Clippers success.
With Clippers playing small ball, Derrick Jones has mainly been playing the four for Tyronn Lue. That leaves plenty of rebounding opportunities for Zubac and then some.
The 4th leading rebounder in the NBA, bettors have seen Zubac have some monstrous performances on the boards.
Sure, this line may be a bit juiced, however, Zubac is averaging 13 rebounds in the last 10 games, and 16.3 RPG in the last three games alone.
Coming off an 11-rebound performance vs the Hornets, Zubac has 59 rebounds in the last four games. Averaging out to 14.8 over that span, Zubac has cleared 12+ rebounds in 2 of the previous four games.
With a total rebound percentage of 22.3 %, Zubac is a main reason why the Clippers allow the third least offensive boards in the NBA. Given Zubac is averaging 16 points on the road, the center had the most productive month in January (13.5 RPG).
