Two games out of playoff contention, the struggling Phoenix Suns will match up against Ja Morant and the sizzling Memphis Grizzlies today With a healthy trio of Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Devin Booker, can the Suns turn it around?
In this article, I'll discuss my 3 best player prop bets for today. Up over 10 units betting in February, let's look to keep the hot streak alive! Practicing responsible betting as always, I chose to place each wager as a separate bet.
Here are my best prop bets and odds, let's keep soaring!
Are you looking to bet on NBA player props all season long? Here at Ballislife Bets, we've gathered a complete list of the best sports betting offers here.
PPG: 24.5 | FG: 46.8 % | FT: 82.3 % | 3PT : 32 % | REB: 5.0 | AST: 6.3 | STL: 1.5 | BLK: 0.4
My first player prop best bet for tonight, I placed one unit on Spurs star De'Aaron Fox to record 25+ points against the New Orleans Pelicans.
With Victor Wembanyama out for the season, the Spurs will look for newly acquired Fox to lead the team through the rest of the season. Four games back of the Sacramento Kings for a playoff spot, the postseason is looking further away by the day for the Spurs.
However, that doesn't mean we can't bet on player props. Coming off a 114-96 loss against the Pelicans, the Spurs will get them once again on the road.
Aside from Sunday's performance of 13 points on 3-16 shooting, Fox has been fairly consistent since his arrival in San Antonio. In eight games with the Spurs, Fox has the 25+ point mark four times. In addition, he's averaging 21.6 points and 34.6 minutes as a Spur.
While Fox has never been a spectacular shooter from downtown, Fox is a craft guard who excels in shot creating. With that said, we've seen various ways Fox has slipped through defenders to get to the basket.
I highly doubt Fox will have a repeat performance from Sunday. Sure, the Spurs get the Pelicans once again. However, will Fox really shoot 3-16 from the field and 1-7 from three? We are talking about a player who's shooting 46.6 % from the field this season. Since joining the Spurs, Fox is shooting a respectable 47 percent from the floor.
Being able to record 13 points on 3-16 shooting is impressive. Plus, we can't forget Fox's seven trips to the charity stripe. Given the Pelicans allow 21.1 attempts to the free-throw line, just how will that fare with Fox today?
It's no secret the Spurs have a ton of depth and young talent. With that said, Fox leads all Spurs players in points per game (21.8), and free-throw attempts (5.1). The leader without Wembanyama with 16.6 field goal attempts per game, Fox now leads San Antonio with 7.8 field goals made per game. Since the Pelicans allow the 7th most paint points to point guards, it's redemption time for Fox.
There's no doubt in my mind Fox is going to receive a hefty amount of shots and minutes tonight. Today,, Fox once again gets a Pelicans team that allows the 11th most points to point guards. With considerable injuries to New Orleans, the Pelicans allow the fourth most points in the NBA (118.9).
While we've seen Fox soar under 25 points in the last two matchups vs the Pelicans (18, 13), we saw him cook up for 26 and 30 points as a member of the Kings in 2023 and 2024. Speaking of matchup, it wasn't too long ago, guards Kyrie Irving and Zach LaVine torched the Pelicans defense for 35 and 32 points.
Overall, Fox's usage rate is still impeccably high with the Spurs (28.7 %), and the Pelicans will continue to operate without Dejounte Murray and Brandon Boston. Aside from Sunday, Fox has averaged 26.5 points over the previous four games with the Spurs. Tallying 35.5 minutes over that span, he should once again see hefty minutes today.
PPG: 24.5 | FG: 55.2 % | FT: 64.6 % | 3PT : 25 % | REB: 7.5 | AST: 4.8 | STL: 1.4 | BLK: 1.0
My second best player prop bet for tonight, I placed one unit on Pelicans star Zion Williamson to record over 6.5 rebounds against the Spurs tonight.
Back healthy and in the lineup, Zion is showing the Pelicans what they can be as the season winds down. Although limited to 20 games, Zion is averaging a career-high 7.5 rebounds per game. Coming off seven vs the Spurs on Sunday, Zion gets another match up tonight.
Overall, Zion should feast on the glass against a Spurs team that gives up the second most rebounds to forwards. Now without Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs rank middle of the road in rebounds (44.7). Allowing the fourth most rebounds in the NBA (46.5), this is one of my strongest player props today for Zion and the Pelicans.
While the Wembanyama news is a huge blow to the Spurs, they will be without Charles Bassey today. With thin front court depth, that will put a very undersized Bismack Biyombo at the five. Aside from Biyombo, Sando Mamukelashvili and Jeremy Sochan, there's not a ton of big men available.
Given the Spurs allow the fourth most boards on the offensive end, Zion had two himself last matchup. Out rebounding the Spurs 52-33, I have serious concerns regarding the Spurs production on the glass.
The third best rebounder on the Pelicans, Zion's usage is at an incredible 35.6 % right now. Able to grab this line at 6.5, I believe the odds are at fair value. We are talking about a player who's soared over 6.5 rebounds in three straight games. Recording 25 over that span, that's an averaging of 8.3 boards per game.
As of late, bettors saw Isaiah Stewart (8 rebounds), and Jayson Tatum (10) have profound success on the glass against the Spurs. In another home matchup, Williamson will again be a crucial x-factor for the Pelicans.
Clearing this line in 5 of the last 6 games vs the Spurs, Zion is averaging 9.1 rebounds against San Antonio. I do believe this line is too low and should increase as the day goes on.
I'm taking Zion Williamson to record over 6.5 rebounds tonight. Zion should feast once again at home, where he's tallied back-to-back 9 rebound performances vs the Spurs at the Smoothie Center.
PPG: 16.2 | FG: 44.5 % | FT: 84.2 % | 3PT : 38.4 % | REB: 4.4 | AST: 4.3 | STL: 0.8 | BLK: 1.1
My third best player prop for today, I placed one unit on Celtic's Derrick White to record over 14.5 points vs the Toronto Raptors for +104 odds.
For plus money, how can I fade a prop thats lower than Derick White's season average 16.2 points per game. White recently made comments about loving the game again after a long slump.
A three-level scorer, White is one of the most underrated two-way players in the NBA. As we've seen time and time again, White is a player that will hustle, and get to the rim. He's a player who excels in transition. Notching 15+ points in 3 of the last 4 games, White is averaging 23.5 points over that span.
There's no question the evolution of Payton Pritchard has affected the Celtics backcourt (in a good way). With that said, Jrue Holiday's scoring and volume has dropped dramatically. Along with that, White's scoring has maintained steady and consistent.
Having his month productive month since November, White is still managing to put up 11.3 field goal attempts through eight games this month. Amongst a crowded talented Celtics team, White has a mind boggling 70.4 % three-point attempt rate. For this reasons alone, I believe White can tally half of his points based off three-point shots alone. In fact, White is averaging 3.4 threes made per game, which is a career-high.
There's no doubt the Celtics live and die by the three, and White has widely contributed to that. Averaging 17.2 points over the last 10 games, he's bee red hot over this stretch.
Although White isn't the first scoring option on the Celtics, he has the capability of putting up big numbers. Fourth in points per game and field goal attempts per game (12.4), White will face a banged up Raptors team. With Brandon Ingram out, Gradey Dick, and P.J. Tucker are both listed as questionable to lace up.
Overall, Derrick White should feast tonight against one of the worst teams in the NBA. Given the Raptors allow the 7th most points to shooting guards, they are averaging over 22 points against the Raptors.
Although limited to six points vs the Raptors in January, White was limited to 21 points in the 110-97 blowout loss. He has, in fact, scored 15+ points in four of the last five head-to-head matchups vs Toronto.
With Jrue Holiday out for tonight's game, White should surely soar over this player prop line. In the last six games without Holiday, White has recorded 15+ points in four of them.
