The Memphis Grizzlies are off to a flying start at 7-4, and that will set us up for a tantalizing affair on national television in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The Lakers are a perfect 5-0 at home, taking care of business against a couple of weak opponents in recent games, but prior to that they fell by 17 in Memphis as the Grizzlies showcased the kind of basketball they're capable of playing at the moment.
What can we learn from that game as it pertains to the many player prop markets available for this one?
Let's build a same-game parlay for Grizzlies vs Lakers on Wednesday, November 13th and lay out a few props that will work well as standalone straight bets as well.

My plan of attack here is to go after the Grizzlies' backcourt. Ja Morant has already been ruled out for this game, and Marcus Smart is in danger of missing a seventh straight game with a questionable tag.
That brings me to Austin Reaves, who's been a scoring machine this season. He's scored 18 or more in four of his last five and ranks in the top 32% or higher in shooting at every zone on the floor.
Reaves has launched 9.5 times per game from deep in his last four contests, and did put up 19 points against the Grizzlies a few games back in spite of a 2-for-9 showing from 3.
That was against a Morant-led backcourt, and now with out Morant and perhaps Smart as well, I expect a big night out of the tantalizing scorer.
Another man we can look to in our pursuit of profits against a weakened Grizzlies frontcourt is L.A.'s brand new starting guard, Cam Reddish.
Reddish has now eclipsed this mark by quite a large margin twice in the last three, with the defense of Paul George helping limit him to just one field goal attempt against the 76ers over the weekend.
With the state of this Grizzlies backcourt, Reddish should be able to get a few shots off here and in shooting 68.8% in a small sample, I think there's plenty of reason to believe he can score a measly seven points here.
The Lakers' frontcourt may be menacing to opponents, but the good news is that big man Santi Aldama has been operating around the perimeter this season and should be in a good position to do it all for this Grizzlies offense.
The Laker rank 27th in assists allowed per 100 possessions this season, and also 26th in rim defense according to Cleaning the Glass, so I think Aldama should be able to rack up numbers whether he's camped out at the arc or operating down low.
With the ball in his hands down low, he can score or find open men just as many bigs have against the Lakers, and that's a large reason as to why he shattered this mark the last time he faced off with L.A.
Aldama also managed a team-high 12 rebounds in that game, and we can expect that again here with the Lakers sitting just 21st in rebounding rate.
