The NBA Cup brings new meaning for teams off to tough starts, and Friday night will see two sides with losing records do battle as they jockey for position in group play.
The Chicago Bulls have dropped three of their last four, and other than a recent win over the New York Knicks haven't looked all that impressive as they carry on without starting bigman Patrick Williams. Atlanta has dropped two of three itself, but Jalen Johnson seems to be fully healed from injury and should help the Hawks begin to crawl back towards .500 in the coming weeks.
Let's build a same-game parlay for Hawks vs Bulls on Friday, November 22nd and lay out a few props that will work well as standalone straight bets as well.

There's no reason to get cute here and look elsewhere for assists in such a glorious matchup, Trae Young is your man.
The Bulls are allowing the second-most assists per 100 possessions in the NBA, and Young was the guy to capitalize last time these two teams met with a whopping 16 helpers.
The root cause of the assists given up is a poor interior defense, which has ranked second-worst in shot frequency and 27th in accuracy at the rim. That should mean Young finds the open man around the basket, as he does so well, all night long.
Atlanta takes the seventh-most shots at the rim in the league, and while it's failed to convert at a high clip this should be the turnaround this team is looking for.
While it's true that Coby White has only reached this benchmark twice in his last five games, he should be worth a look in this one given how poorly Atlanta has defended on the perimeter.
The Bulls sure do love to shoot the 3, ranking fifth in shot frequency from outside, and a big reason why they've sat inside the top 10 in success rate has been the leap forward that White's made this year.
The young guard is shooting a hair under 40% from outside this season, which is over two points higher than where he was last year, and he's also attempting a career-high 8.9 3-pointers per game.
That's enough for me to climb up to four here on White's 3-point total.
The Hawks should have a decent edge in the rebounding department here, ranking six spots ahead of the Bulls in 15th place, and the new sheriff in town on the boards seems to be guard Dyson Daniels.
The youngster racked up eight rebounds the last time these two met, exploiting a matchup with Zach LaVine who likes to hang out on the perimeter rather than crashing the boards, and there's little reason to believe he can't do it again.
Sure, the state of both defenses could mean that there are fewer missed shots than normal, but both of these teams are top two in pace so I'm not overly concerned.
