The Los Angeles Lakers have now dropped five of their last seven as their form begins to fade, and Wednesday's matchup with the Miami Heat could offer some reprieve considering their opponent comes in on a two-game losing streak of their own.
With Jimmy Butler listed as questionable for this one, might this Lakers offense return to its early-season form? Who would benefit most from this absence on either side of the floor?
Let's build a same-game parlay for Lakers vs Heat on Wednesday, December 4 and lay out a few NBA player props that will work well as standalone straight bets as well.

It's been a slow month for LeBron James as many question whether or not the 39-year-old is slowing down. He's coming off a game where he scored a season-low 10 points, and has averaged just 16.8 over his past six contests on 39.8% shooting.
As James looks to work through his scoring issues, he'll be delighted to face a Heat team ranked just 24th on the glass this year and 26th over the last five games -- something that's nothing new for Miami.
While the Heat may not be allowing a large sum of rebounds per game on average due to their slow pace the Lakers not only represent a pace-up game here for the home team but should also be able to get mor work done defensively against the 10th-worst offense in basketball, creating plenty of rebounding opportunities.
James has eclipsed this number five times in his last seven games and should bully Miami's weak frontcourt all night long.
It was quite alarming to see Bam Adebayo go for a triple-double just four games ago, and it was even more incredible that he replicated that performance in his very next game against the Toronto Raptors.
This has put the onus on Adebayo to pass back out for 3-point shots, and the script should remain the same on Wednesday with the Lakers ranking just 17th in defending the 3 and lacking interior defenders to help out when L.A. inevitably throws a double-team at Adbayo.
The Lakers are allowing 28.8 assists to opponents per 100 possessions -- the third-highest mark in the league -- and as there should be assists aplenty here there's likely no better man to look to than the one who's become the defacto facilitator for Miami, averaging eight assists in his past four games.
Yes, the Heat really don't have many great options on offense, but someone is going to have score here -- and my pick on Wednesday is Tyler Herro.
Herro fits the mold of exactly who I'd like here, which is a two-level scorer. We noted above that the Lakers sit 29th in defending the rim and 17th at the arc, and Herro has ranked in the top 25% of the league at his position in shot frequency from 3 with a handsome 42% of those shots falling.
He's also ranked right around the middle of the league in terms of taking shots at the rim, so I think there are a myriad of ways he can get some buckets here -- particularly if Butler is out or limited.
